It seems all is not well between manager and hierarchy, it sounds like Moyes and the owners are on totally different pages in regards to several things, and it seems like there is a bit of "tit for tat" when both parties have recently spoke to the media, whatever the issues are, both Moyes, Kinnear and Friedkins etc need to remember the good of the club and the fans are more important than trying to 1 up each on the press.

Friedkins are business people. If there was any friction, do you think Moyes would still be there? Look what they did at Roma.

Profit is the only thing important to them. If they could charge more, invest less and still profit, they would. It makes them more profit if we are a success, so money will be spent, but it sure ain't for the fans.

It's simple, all managers want more than they have. If TFG weren't happy with Moyes, he'd be out already. He's a safe pair of hands.

Spending more than you have isn't investment, it's foolish and is what happened under Moshiri. Me personally, I'm glad they are business people and are managing the club in the right way. Top business people know how to grow a business, how to make it successful, and more valuable. They get the best people in the right places who are the best in their field to help develop and improve it. Poor business people don't like Kenwright and Moshiri.
Moshiri was an accountant (somehow!) and Bill was a fan.
TFG will let Moyes see out his contract, and then recruit a new manager next year and probably hold off some funds this year to give the next manager something to work with then.
We'll improve this year, but this is a gradual improvement over time. We all have to be patient. You can't go from avoiding relegation to European regulars in 1 or 2 seasons.

Err, Sunderland?

I agree, Bluejohnus. Moshiri is an accountant - and a good one at that - the problem was he was a figurehead, one with good intensions but taking bad advice and not wholly his own man. Everything also went tits up when HMG pissed off his mate/senior partner. Despite all that, he did deliver the stadium, which in turn has attracted TFG - a good thing.

AD, Sunderland have just come up from the Championship and had 1 season in the EPL. Yes, they got Europe and we didn't, but how many times have they been in Europe in the last 50 years? That's right, this is the first time.
They're not the example for us.
The example is Chelsea, Liverpool, Man Utd, Arsenal, City, and Spurs. However, we don't have their spending power but we can start bridging the gap by getting the business side right, which allows the football side of things to be supported, not once but every season.

TFG, do see Moyes as a safe pair of hands, but only that the club will be safely mid table, anything more than that is a bonus. Truth is they lack the ambition and the willingness to pump prime the club with real cash commitment to once against compeat at the top level.
