Ed25 if armstrong goes I'm done with this board owners I think it would be disgrace he gone be worth double in year or two. don't think they care about club at all they sell us next year or so I reckon

{Ed025's Note - i will not be happy either Bretto, but as the late great ED002 would have told you...players are just transient employees and will move on when they or the club feel its right, dont take it too personally mate or let it upset you..in the end its just a game..

I'm an Evertonion, been going to Goodison since 1963, however, the shankly quota seems appropriate, they asked him is football a matter of life& death, he said " no, it's much more important than that" so ed 25, it's not just a game.

{Ed025's Note - Family and health far outweigh Football AB, Shankly also said that the 2 best teams on Merseyside were Liverpool and Liverpool reserves...so dont quote that knob head to me mate..

Been Everton (memory serves) since 1958. I can assure you Always Blues, football is a competitive game but not remotely near a matter of life and death. Shankly doesn't deserve the title knob head ED, far to nice a word to describe him.

{Ed025's Note - i was being kind DMS.. :)

I'm loving the humour Ed & dms!

My opinion on this is that whatever the club say, the Burnley money would have had an effect on the transfer kitty. You can't fork out £35M quid and it not have an effect on things, even if it was noted in the accounts in someway as a provision. Transfers / sales are the one place you can adjust costs accordingly to suit.

In terms of it being Armstrong that needs to be sacrificed, which (if true) is like a dagger to the heart. The fact is academy products make the most pure profit, so yes it hurts, but it's the way of it for loads of clubs who need to plug gaps their finances for whatever reason.

This one hurts because he feels so much like the future and is exactly what we all feel we should be keeping to progress. The next 48hrs are going to be very telling of where we are financially.

Lastly, football, and especially this club is so important to all of us, but family and loved ones always come first (except my younger brother Charlie, who's a red) . ?

{Ed025's Note - we all have our crosses to bear Benny.. :)

Have we actually given Burnley the money yet, I thought we were contesting the decision.

Benny, yep can't get away from blood (was tempted when No 1 Grandson switched to our beloved Red half) .

To paraphrase John Lennon:

"Power to the People ('s Club) !"

Looks like Armstrong is staying (on the Beeb this morning) . I really hope this is true.

I don't think Tfg could risk the backlash on it.
