There are couple of things I would pursue. everyone in league could sue. here's a big kicker dicky masters made us pay Burnley but I would counter sue saying how can you make us pay something as it's rules but by your own admission league didn't follow it's own rules because city got found out for not complying with league so in my book city would not be in this mess if league had followed rules and punished city at the time.
what will happen is dicky masters will pretend to fall on sword and admit fault with a multi pound handjob I mean hand out and we will be no better off.

I'm glad City did what they did. It highlights that the rules are the only thing that stop teams competing. They have spent the same as those teams that are always in and around them. To me that sounds like an even playing field, and the trophies show that they simply spent better than the others.
In 2013, when the £105m overspend was first discussed, it sounded reasonable. Wages and transfer fees have gone mad since then but it hasn't changed. I wouldn't be surprised if the top teams planned that to limit the progress others could make.
