Looks like we are going to get European Super leagues in football after all.

Just leave OUR GAME alone.

All about money ain't it GB especially the European clubs trying to break up the premier League monopoly on investment and global appeal.

By all accounts won't get off ground certainly with English clubs involved, they saw the fans and media outcry previously and government and premier League have put stuff in place to safeguard those wanting to join.

Money talks. It will happen eventually. Wonder if we would be part of it…

I don’t know if as many people would be up for flying around Europe mid week, each week. It’ll certainly cost a lot more bob than a few hours drive down the M62 and back afterwards.

{Ed025's Note - i very much doubt that we would get an invite BR, they dont like the unwashed and penniless mate and it seems thats how they view us..

The whole purpose is to have the elite clubs playing each other regularly. They won’t want us anywhere near it. It’s the very worst thing to happen to football if it materialises.

I’ve said this many times before. Seeding in football is glorified match fixing. Whether it’s club or country. That’s why the elite stay elite and the rest dream. The super league is no different.

If they go they should all be made to reregister their clubs under changed names. They want money that bad they can sacrifice their identity in the process. Greedy good for nothing snobs.

No.
It's only been judged that it was illegally blocked by the footballing bodies. As S Jordan pointed out, it's already here in the monstrosity that is the poorly named Champions League where 95% of the clubs involved are anything but champions. All that will happen is they will battle away and the CL will either get into bed with whatever the super league is or the CL Will die and be replaced with a super league. It is of little consequence changes nothing.

Sad thing is they don't care about the fans of clubs and be all about TV and streaming with the vast amount of advertising chucked in massively targeting the Asian and American markets.

Apparently, all Premier League clubs have signed a contract stating they won't join any breakaway European Leagues with the backing of the government.

I for one have no desire to watch or follow a set up that threatens the small and grassroot football clubs, give me a Brentford V Burnley on a cold Tuesday night then a razzmatazz corporate inspired over hyped cash cow.

Well if the Lpool v Man Utd game is anything to go by it won't last more than two years.

Ditto that Mocker, you and me mate and all the others on this forum are the reason there is any footy, I say listen to the fans, it’s NOT about money.

If these so called 'big six' were to joina super league and be then generating more income to make them financially better off, would that then be giving them a 'sporting advantage' against all 14 other teams in the PL?

I like what Klopp and the Aussie guy said. They don't want it. But they are not the money grabbers,

Let’s be honest, the prem is a closed shop anyway geared towards the so called top 6. That’s why they have FFP, to ensure no one else can break the monopoly so a super league doesn’t change that, just gives all other European teams an equal footing with the top 6 in the prem.
