I see it's a case of "the grass isn't always greener" for Richarlison. Goes to spurs to win trophies, now has as much chance as us. I think I've played more times for spurs than him this season. I've seen this so many times and then they end up asking to come back. I hope we don't take a backwards step and open the door for him.

How on earth is Richarlison a backwards step?

Was thinking the same thing, the grass isn't always greener, but on a personal note, he's losing minutes on the pitch, but take that aside, on a football perspective, he's not worrying about getting relegated, so I think if you ask him right now if he regrets moving I'd bet he'd say no, he'd do it again. As for coming back, I'd take him back but we couldn't afford him anyway!

I’d gladly take him back, one of if not our best player last few seasons. If he’d have stayed highly doubt we’d be down the bottom of the league.

Him going was for him to try at a bigger club and in better competitions but it was also for us to try and sort issues with ffp.

I’d imagine majority of fans would welcome him back.

He would not come back, why would he?

I would have him back if he wants to come back, why not?
The move to me, looked like he has been a second choice player at Spurs and for a player with talent and energy that must be difficult for him to swallow, again though ''if'' he wants to come back etc. . .

Guys earning more money, not in a relegation scrap. So what’s the problem? Do you really think he is worse off?

I logged on to see if anyone would bite and hit the obvious embarrassing button. there you are without fail. Sad.
This is Everton and we really are living in a sugar glass house and should put all the stones down and act in our lane. Zero class again.

Can’t knock the kid for going. He wanted better things. He obviously thought he’d push his way in to the team regularly. Who are we to stop him of that. He more than bust his gut for our team most of the time. I’d have him back if we were an option but I doubt it will happen. Hopefully we can trade him for deli Ali lol.

Brown shoes how am I embarrassing? The lad let us down. Ancelloti persuaded him to stay so he's been wanting to jump ship for a while. All you people saying you'd have him back? One player team yet again? We need to build a team full of individuals. We need vision and balance. Not just one prima Donna. I'm sorry but he disappeared on so many games for me each and every season. His goal tally wasn't extraordinary and we made him the player he is as we gave him a platform and yet again these players turn round and say we have a lack of ambition. I love this club. I want to win trophies with Everton. I need to leave to win trophies. blah blah blah.
I'm sorry you blame him for our current league position but the truth is we would still be in the same position with him. He'd be sulking around 3 out of 5 games and then turn it on for 2.
The only embarrassment i can see is that he chose spurs to win trophies and ended up with nothing but a warm bench!

What a load of absolutely nonsense. Him and Pickford kept us up last year.

He didn’t score many goals because he got no service by our garbage team.

He sulks because he tries really hard and gets let down by the idiots around him.

Also “one man team again”? What? :

So if we got offered Haaland, would you say “no, we’d be a one man team then”. What about Mbappe? Still say no?

I couldn’t care if we were a “one man team” if that one man is Richarlison. Exactly the sort of player we love and need always at the club.

The lad who scored goals last season that basically kept us in the top flight? If you count scoring goals in a game to win three points as a backwards step then I'm all for it ?.

Swan have a word with yourself. He played out of his skin for the last 8 games. There's 38 games in a season mate. Overrated and it shocks me to hear the opinions of some evertonians it really does.

Give me your list of players from last year from best to last Pauly

If Ricky isn't in the top 4, maybe even number one or two then you were watching a different team

It shocks me to hear the opinions of some posters on this site. I'd like to say Evertonians but I'm not sure some should be classed as such. Why our 'supporters' have to slag off every player astounds me.

Played out of his skin in the last 8 games? What? His running statistics alone are very impressive all season compared to most of our squad. He had games when he wasn’t very good, but he never had a game where I thought “oh he can’t be bothered”.

I’m one of the harshest people on here, but Richarlison slander is so bizarre to me. He was an amazing signing, was great for us, always worked his socks off every single game and you could tell that he actually cared, which is more than I can say for everyone still at the club at the moment outside of Pickford and Tarkowski.

If we got him back on loan or something, I’d be over the moon, we need a fighter like him who will do a solid job anywhere across the front 3.

Richarlison a backwards step av heard it all now ?? take the lad back on a heart beat loved the club an put 110% in every game.

Richarlison was a best player and he was in a relegation team full of brian dead footballers. He got goals by his own doing if you think tha lad is a backwards step uv lost the plot. Look at him in the brazil squad shines because he has quality around him.

Lukaku was lazy. But he was also a very good goal scorer.

Ricky was never praised for his defensive work. Always baffled me how a team famed for informed supporters always over looked this fact. Sour grapes and ego attention seekers only knocked Richarlison. One of the best to play for our club in my life time and I'm 50. Conte clearly has a problem with him. and considering how poor Son has been compared to his own high standards, I'm absolutely baffled he's not started far more games. Perhaps he may well be slightly unfit? After all he played non stop for 2 years with out a break at Watford famously and then pretty much got the sh? t kicked out of him every week for years for us. An Olympic gold won pretty much single handedly and then 4 goals in a woefully disappointing Brazil, yet again over shadowing Neymar (who has always been over rated) yet some plebs here seem to rejoice in the lads failure. Well he isn't in a relegation battle so I guess he has that to stick in your eye. He's still very young and not yet in his prime. Think he won't miss us too much ?.

I'm 48 and I've watched he'd great, great players wear our shirt. Richarlison couldn't lace their boots. I have this argument with my lad all the time. If you think he's been a "great" then that's your opinion. I disagree strongly. I think he could've been a lot better for us but he sulked and couldn't stop hitting the floor. I'm sorry but I'll never change my mind on him. He could've been a "great" but, in my eyes, he didn't come close. Also swan I watched him in so many games during his Everton career and believe me there were many times when he couldn't be bothered. Good riddance in my opinion.
I was asked what were my best players last season? Honestly? I'd struggle to name anyone. A shambles of a team. The last good player we've had, in recent times, was James. We allowed benitez to get shut. He would've been a top, top player for us. I couldn't pick a stand out player from the rest.

10 Mar 2023 19:07:02
Woburn again Lukaku thought he was world class, he wasn't. He was just a good goalscorer. Man utd, Wembley. A world class striker scores those chances. Lukaku disappeared in big games also. I liked him. When we played to his strengths he was an amazing player for us. Tbh I've seen better at our club. Maybe I'm spoilt but I seem to have upset the richy lovers on here by simply stating that he's viewed through rose tinted specs by a lot of blues.

23.) 10 Mar 2023
10 Mar 2023 21:45:07
James? ok you've just ended your own argument. You're to be totally ignored. We would have gone down if it wasn't for Rikky. He was sold a lie as were we all. He should have had DCL as the back up striker and a real NOs9 so he could have been the lethal LW attacker he is and he would have setup tons of goals. Unfortunately knuckle draggers can't see the wood for the trees. I pity your kid.

Brown shoes. for a man of 50 you're clueless. I can't argue with someone who has your views. What a load of gibberish. Seriously you actually want to berate me? Read your last msg and go to bed.

Getting heated here. In my opinion Pauly2 is getting a little bit of a raw deal here.

Would I have him back? Absolutely, in a heart beat. Badly needed but to claim he is a great is a bit extreme. How long was he at Everton?

I do believe he was our best player last season. Was he is the sole reason we stayed up, no way. Was he a big part of us staying up, definitely was. He did peak towards the end of the season when he was needed and he deserves to be acknowledged for that.

There was many reasons we stayed up and his goals obviously helped. For me a bigger reseason we stayed up was the fans. The input that was given was unbelievable and it rattled most opposition. Looks like the same might be needed again.

Would be a help to have Richy back also but he has gone to different pastures.
