Morning guys. I have a lot of friends from Burnley so I asked what they think about Michael Keane potentially coming to Everton on social media. The replies basically said he is a top centre back but they think we probably won't get him this window but had no hard feelings if the right offer was made and he came to Everton.

Ed's is Spurs interest a threat to the Sissoko deal or are we almost there?

{Ed025's Note - i believe he is joining us duaney..

1.) 31 Aug 2016 22:02:12
Any more sneaky deals in the pipeline? Besides Valencia? You know I don't expect names just your gut feeling lol.

{Ed025's Note - i doubt it mate..

2.) 31 Aug 2016 22:05:50
Hope so gives us a strong midfield also mcgeady gone on loan to Preston know just got get rid of niasse.

3.) 31 Aug 2016 22:07:40
Ed25 would this lead to McCarthy then being made available to Sunderland and in another consequence Kone coming to us?

Referring to posts below that only chance we'll get Kone is if McCarthy goes the other.

Surely that's more likely if we get Sissoko in the bag?

{Ed025's Note - it could be the case NBTB but it will depend also if macca wants to go there mate..

4.) 31 Aug 2016 22:11:20
I keep talking about gambles. I'm no fan of Niasse BUT if he stays and bangs in 5-10 goals by January I'll happily eat humble pie lol.

5.) 31 Aug 2016 22:28:05
Yes Ed025 but I'm guessing it would be attractive enough to him if he is seeking premiership regular football. No disrespect to Sunderland.

30 Aug 2016 19:24:55
Ed025 do you know something concrete without mentioning names or are you just getting a little giddy because the transfer deadline is close?

{Ed025's Note - im hoping as much as anything duaney but the club are offering players good money to join us of that im sure mate..

1.) 30 Aug 2016 19:35:41
Apparently ed Biriami was pictured in a car outside goodison just passing on what was said. Only thing is it's normally finch farm where final details get done have to wait and see on this one.

{Ed025's Note - the same was said about riquelme stef, people see all sorts of things when they want it badly enough mate.. :)

2.) 30 Aug 2016 19:43:52
Yea your probably right ed.

3.) 30 Aug 2016 20:13:48
Riquelme was driving the car!
They were going the blue star😉.

4.) 30 Aug 2016 21:45:42

Hey Eds,

Please could you shed any light on the Gabriel Barbosa rumours? I remember his reputation being huge before he moved to Inter.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any interest and if there were would Everton commit to him being a starter and, if it were a loan, how would he get a WP?}

1.) 26 Jul 2017 15:08:33
That's a fair point, the story just seemed to be gathering a bit of pace. Thanks for the info.

26 Jul 2017 14:36:27
I just get the feeling now that if a club is crazy enough to match our valuation of Barkley it would be similar to when City bought Rodwell. It's a shame it has come to this but the kid only has himself to blame, he'll turn out for Sunderland soon!

09 Jul 2017 21:21:02
Has anyone seen the rumours Niang now wants to move to Everton? I would still support him if he arrived but definitely would not trust him!

1.) 09 Jul 2017 22:35:46
Guess who his agent is? Riola!

No ta.

05 Jul 2017 22:46:09
ED025 totally respect everything you say, but your love for Everton is clear. Are the other Eds impressed with us? Especially ED002?

{Ed025's Note - some of the other eds have praised our efforts duaney, ED002 is not really a big football fan mate..

1.) 05 Jul 2017 22:52:22
For someone not a fan his knowledge is amazing.

{Ed025's Note - tell me about it ray...if you only knew the people he knows and meets you would not believe it mate..

2.) 05 Jul 2017 23:01:17
ED025 I really don't know how old you are but stick with me lol. My first clear memory was the classic 4-4 draw with Liverpool in the FA Cup. Is this the best place we have been in since then?

{Ed025's Note - im 59 duaney and have been a blue all my life mate, this is a very promising looking side with the potential to be very good, they cant compare yet to the mid 80,s side when we had the likes of steven, bracewell, reid and sheedy though, and strikers like latchford, sharpe and lineacre, not forgetting big nev, i just missed out on the harvey kendall, ball era but they were incredible, we all have our favourite teams in different era,s but for me that 80,s side was special, im sure mike and grumpy along with other more senior posters will have a different view and remember dixie and the golden vision mate..

3.) 05 Jul 2017 23:32:41
I'm 35 now and I remember beating Forest 4-0 and finishing 3rd or 4th in the league but even that is a bit sketchy lol. The team that excited me the most is when we had Kanchelskis and Limpar as our wide men and legends like Ferguson and Speed. How did we let that team slip away so easily?

{Ed025's Note - lack of investment duaney..

4.) 05 Jul 2017 23:43:03
Such a shame. Until Ronaldo arrived Kanchelskis was the most exciting right winger/ forward of the Premiership era.

{Ed025's Note - he was special mate..

5.) 05 Jul 2017 23:56:19
My first match was a 4-3 win over Brighton, so I've been spoilt over the years! Like you Ed, have seen some great players wear the blue shirt. One player who always sticks in my mind, and I know he was past his best, was Norman Whiteside. What a player he was.

{Ed025's Note - i could not take to norman after he broke my heart in 85 at wembley mate..

6.) 06 Jul 2017 07:01:07
I'm 29, my first proper Everton memory is the F. A. cup win in 95 (I do feel like I have a vague recollection of the Great Escape in 94 but I was only 6) . I challenge anyone to have a worst first match though. The first time I went to Goodison we got stuffed 5-1 by Norwich. bloody Efan Ekoku!

7.) 06 Jul 2017 08:37:16
Duaney I saw big Norman going into the royal hospital in Belfast last year I shouted to him what about that flukey goal in 85 stopped using doing the treble he just burst into fits of laughter.

8.) 06 Jul 2017 10:11:25
Born in '69, from Dorset, first posters on my wall were Latchford when he scored the 30 in a season. First Everton game was away to Southampton at The Dell, Alan Ball, was in the Saints side if I remember correctly. But the 80's I do remember. first Wembley Game was the Merseyside Milk cup final, before we won the '84 FA Cup. I also saw two Charity Sheilds (Vinny Samways! ) First Goodison game was much later, unfortunately when Smith was in charge. but I was there for Moyes first game (Fulham) . never heard an atmosphere like that when he walked out pre-game. But watching us win the Cup Winners Cup (on TV) was something else.

{Ed025's Note - i was lucky enough to be in rotterdam rich..great night mate..

05 Jul 2017 11:02:21
What a summer so far! I thought after the arrivals of Sandro and Keane we might have a quiet week, but no, Rooney, Giroud and now Raul Jimenez linked! Too much excitement, and we have the whole Barkley/ Lukaku dramas to come lol.

You would have thought West ham signed Messi when they beat us to Payet, and like they say, the rest is history.

IF the Rooney deal was possible would us fans want him? My gut feeling is no, but it was only a year ago quite a few of us wanted Wesley Sneijder who is very similar to Rooney as his best years are behind him but had undoubtable quality and great experience. It's a tough call.

I would streak across the nation if we pulled this one off lol.

{Ed025's Note - lets hope we get him then duaney.. :)

If the right offer comes in and we bring in another striker then I will be happy. But he has been fantastic and I hope we see the best McCarthy again soon! (Hopefully not against us) .

You put Genk against Celtic now and Genk win, no question. Belgian football is buzzing, how many decent footballers come out of the SPL? What do you want us to do? Be Brighton and win 6-0 at Crawley OR play a team better than our Europa opponents and improve match fitness and chemistry? There is no pleasing some people.

I agree bud football moves so fast if you stand still a second you lose a year. This summer has been great and think, when Coleman and Bolaise return it's like getting 2 amazing signings. We are not far off having an amazing squad. I believe Benteke, if only for a couple of seasons would be an excellent signing.
