I am getting more fed up with the doom-mongers than the speculative ' done deals'. Is it so hard to remain positive for a few days?
I don't think we could afford the wages for Konoplyanka or Yarmolenko, but I would be happy with either to inject some extra drive into our attack.
Fair comment SgtRed, but Atkinson was duped very easily, especially by Sterling.
There are no guarantees based on price - Torres/Carroll for example. Personally, I'd rather keep Baines and rely on RM finding us a decent striker to get on the end of his crosses.
Just because you like him doesn't mean everyone does. Rooney's star has been on the wane for some time now (no pun intended). He probably would still score lots of goals for us, but it wouldn't be easy to crack the top four, especially as they will all strengthen their squads over the summer.
