Just seen that Seamus has signed for one year contract. Amazing servant, but unless this is on pay-as-you-play, or something closer to it, I’m not sure about this one.
I wonder if this says anything about Tete?

We’ve got a load of players leaving and hopefully several coming in to replace them.
We’re moving stadiums.
Massive change incoming, so keeping Seamus who is a leader in the dressing room makes sense to help with the transition more than anything else.
He’ll hardly play but he’ll be there to offer support and assistance to the new players as well as being a positive impact around the club.
Him staying an extra year is nothing to do with him playing.
