I see the next 5 games as all winnable and 15 points to pick up. We haven’t got Ndaiye, Guye, or Dewsbury Hall. To win games we need to score goals so where are the goals going to come from? Garner, Alcatraz, Keane?

Is this a good opportunity to change things and play both Barry and Beto together, Grealish left and Dibbling right and get crosses in. Worth a try if just for one game. There are others on this site with more knowledge than me of the game to comment on that suggestion.

We all know the Dibbling situation being sat on the bench. He may be 19 years of age but he won’t develop as a player in the Premiership sitting on the bench week after week. We’ve all got to respect what the manager has got planned, but there’s time when to just throw a player in the deep end and see what he does. I personally hadn’t seen Dibbling before he came to the club so I don’t know what his best qualities are. How old was Rooney and even longer back Joe Royle
, Alan Ball, Howard Kendall etc, when they were introduced. Leeds have been introducing members of the Gray family at early age, one who is now at spurs. You can see the inexperience in them, but you can see them developing as players as an example.

We all know a new striker is needed. We can’t take the risk of bringing in another overseas striker in my mind. We need someone preferable with Premiership experience and proven which costs lots of money. Another brought in from abroad, we will get the same excuses if doesn’t hit the ground running eg, playing in a new country, needs time to settle in, learn the language. We need someone for the rest of this season as well as next. Wonder if Beto could pick up in January like he did 12 months ago.

Rant over. Seasons greetings to everyone and the Ed’s and all the best for 2026.

Top post Brian. Beto and Barry up top together would certainly be interesting. Bull in a China shop comes to mind mate.

They would cause havoc for the defence and for each other. However won’t happen as Moyes likes his loan striker tactic. Wouldn’t want him having to learn a new one now, not at his age.

I can’t see it working out with two liabilities up top, and we’d get overrun in midfield.
