For those hoping TFG retain Moyes, please rinse your mouths out with caustic soda, Dettol, or cats urine. Thank you.

He has given us an element of stability. These are the same players that had us top 10 for most of the season. He was given a two year contract and has another year left. Our bosses are business people; they obviously don't see Moyes as long term (Alardyce had an 18 month deal) , but he has another season or less, depending.

What a depressing thought to start the day.

When you consider the position we were in, both in terms of flirting with relegation and in managing ffp and points deductions, you can understand why stability this season and next was the plan TFG put in place. If you listen to Coleman, Pickford etc, it was dark times, and most clubs would have crumbled and gone down.
If the plan is to stabilise, improve the squad over two summers and push on from there, I can live with that. We must improve the squad in a number of areas, of course, we all know that. It looks fairly set in stone that Moyes will lead us out in August. We should be planning for his successor from then.

Wasn't Dyche brought in to give us stability? Just saying.

Yes, under the old owners, and he almost took us down.

I know it's second season syndrome, quite a few of our managers had that. Couldn't happen to Moyes, though, could it?

We could end up 14th. Great improvement on last season.
