With the news of number 16 signing a new contract and us allegedly looking for left back “cover”
2 questions must be asked:
1. Why did we sign Aznou?
2. Why on earth is that Sunday league player still going to be first choice!?

I was hoping our coaches would've spotted that he's never been within 10 yards of the corner flag to ever deliver a meaningful cross. Which in this modern game is very poor for a full back. But then we have a 6'5 centre back running down the other wing so he's probably a bit confused by it all.

Generally speaking, to have flying wingbacks, you need quick centre backs and DMs that can cover. Our CBs look like they're running in gravy. Moyes is not stupid, despite what some on here might think, he has to play to what he thinks the strengths of the squad are.
He'll also know that the fans aren't happy with the brand of football. Hopefully, in the summer, we'll make the signings that mean we can improve the brand of football.

{Ed025's Note - i dont know about you guys but i dont have any faith that we will bring in the right players, players we are being linked to actually fill me with dread and with our recruitment record im expecting another season of stagnation myself, i would love to be proved wrong though..

As they say Ed, it's the hope that kills you. I keep telling myself it has to get better, some good signs at the start of the season, but the disappointment at falling away is understandable.
