What bothers me about Moyse is the seeming lack of willingness to take accountability for last pre-season's transfer mistakes. He wants money now..but he had money back then.and he spent it arguably quite poorly. He does not account for spending so much cash on 2 players he hardly gave an outing to. (and the local press seem scared to ask him) and for buying Barry who has not looked to date anything like what Everton need in a number 9. So one can understand a certain reticence on the part of TFG in giving him a lot to spend because they are not certain he will use it well.
I think Moyse's record shows he is better at bargain basement (Pienarr, Arteta) but when he has had larger amounts to spend has not used it to best effect. Juan Mata Chelsea to Utd comes to mind.
I don't think he can last beyond Christmas if he keeps tempering the supporters' ambitions.and buying average players who will not take us into Europe..while clubs like Bournemouth and Brentford with far less money available seem to know how to spend a little well and take a run at the big guns.

The answer is quite simple. If he can't be trusted to spend the money wisely (which he can't) , then get rid of him now and bring in someone who can. Waiting till Christmas will mean that a new manager will be stuck with whatever crap he brings in.
TFG have brought this on themselves by giving him too much control, and allowing him to have the final say on who goes and who comes in.
It now seems like he feels that he is untouchable and can come out with whatever s**** he wants, that is disrespectful to the club, the staff, the players and, most of all, the supporters.
