I had always been a Moyes supporter and was pleased when he came back again "to steady the ship" which I thought he would.
However, he concerned me last season on two accounts, the refusal give any of the youngsters he signed (we are led to believe he has final say on transfers) , a decent run of games, so we still don't know how good they really are.
Also his persisting with OBrien at RB in the latter part of the season when Patterson was fit and could have been played to allow OBrien to move to central defence where he was badly needed.
My initial patience with him has now worn very thin, and worry that he may be given to Christmas to see what happens this season.

He said at the time of signing them, they would not be playing in the first team. It's been well documented.

So why sign them at all?
Why not loan them out?
Why loan in a young player just to not play him?
Makes absolutely no sense.

Do you think that was a good strategy, GB, sign expensive players to sit on the bench when we have needed a right-back, for example, for years?
If that is what he did, and he had complete control of recruitment, he should have been fired.
The only mitigating circumstance is that others determined that we should spend money on, for example, Dibling, and Moyes did not want him.

No, I don't understand it, Mike. We need the players we bring in to be brought into the team quickly, if this isn't sorted in this window, and we start badly, then his day will be up, mate. He has a hell of a lot to prove.
