Can anybody who watched the full 90 minutes of the Dundee game tell me their thoughts on Aznou please? I have only seen the highlights, but saw 2 or 3 occasions where he showed he has more natural footballing ability in the big toe on his right foot than Mkyolenko's entire body.

I watched it all, and he did play well. He went on one amazing dribble after nicking the ball, and unfortunately finished with a weak/scuffed effort. He had George in front of him, who tended to drift inside, so he had no one directly in front of him to pass forward to, so inevitably was forced to pass sideways or backwards.

Cheers, Big C, much appreciated mate.

Agree with most of what Big C says, but I actually like George drifting in as it was creating the space for Aznou to exploit and overlap. If he gets those crosses over, he could be a revelation
He looks a very attacking fullback, but would be served best with Branthwaite behind him, in my opinion
Looking forward to seeing what he can bring in the next preseason game.

Hi, maybe I didn't make myself clear. I like George drifting inside and creating space, but he also needs to stay out wide and give that option, and they can overlap or under lap, if you will, each other like Baines and Pienaar used to. I suppose that kind of understanding comes with regular games.

Sorry, read that as George wasn't in front of him, when in my differing opinion I felt he was there but he does cut inside as he's a left winger with a stronger right foot so likes to cut inside to either shoot or was looking for link up play with KDH, that allows or should allow Aznou to overlap into the vacated space and an outlet for KDH to slide the ball out wide if needed
Pienaar was strong with both feet but I would class him more a left mid/winger whereas George is left winger/forward
Relationship could come with time but again, and in my opinion, I don't feel we are setting up our formation for that in the same way.

Shame though as I loved that relationship those two had on the left. ?

All about opinions and banter though and I feel Aznou showed signs of what we can get from him.

I thought he played well BN. He didn't have to do much defending, as we were well on top for most of the game. He did offer much more going forward with his pace and did also take on the opposition a few times, too.
I noticed he does still run about chasing the odd lost cause when there was no need.

He chased after the ball when Dundee keeper played it to their left back and then had to sprint the full length of the pitch to get back into position.
