Just a thought, wonder why Chelsea signed Wellbeck and Henderson a 35 and a 36 yr old, doesn’t make sense to me unless of course they sell at £100 million each at Christmas PSR would like that.

I think the reason they have signed Henderson and Wellbeck is, if my facts are right, they have a 2 window transfer ban which was reported on BBC website a few days ago, and therefore I'm thinking Chelsea must have known this was happening and just brought a couple of extras in while they still could. Only my opinion though.
{Ed001's Note - the ban is suspended. They have brought them in because they had a squad of youngsters and needed some experience to guide them. Alonso likes a couple of experienced players in key roles.}

Can't see Henderson getting much game time, if any. Seems to be in a sort of "coaching role" there, based on his past successes and experience.
Didn't understand his inclusion in the World Cup squad either, seemed a waste of a place in it.
