Hiya Blue it's hard not to get involved when all around are signing players and we're not. I don't really know what finances are available but to think that all other clubs who we class as lesser names than us do deals in a flash. I know before people jump on me that deals are being done with months of prep work in place; we should have started ours when we hit the wall last season but the so called man who has the final say Moyes took himself off to the World Cup for a month working for Talksport instead of heading up the list and helping with securing players. We have got players in but only Norgaard as of now is new. George and Rohl were here last season on loan to buy deals so they were effectivley prior purchases.

No right back in, need of another striker, and I like Grealish but with no pace and no overlapping left back means all our attacks would need to come from the right. I don't want McNeill anywhere near the first team and if Ndyie leaves that's are only option. I am trying to be possitive and hope we get in a few but a striker is another priority as B &B are useless. I just wonder if this multie club model works as you can't concentrate your priorities when you have two to operate it seems we're the second choice as a few who have been tracked by us are ending up there at Roma Castianos and Mollina being the case.

Hackney.

Just a heads up. We were never interested in Mollina. No contact, nothing.

We have done business and are likely to do more. Don't put any weight in the hundreds of 'news' stories telling you we have or haven't put bids in for players.
Yes, we need a right back, and I think we'll get one.

A striker that is better than what we have is not an easy thing to find, unfortunately, unless you have a bottomless pot of money.

I see that Red is back on stirring up dissent.

We've signed 4 players so far. We are pursuing others and have plenty of time left until the window closes.

More players become available towards the end of the window and you can get some good players that have ended up being surplus to requirements as well.

It's tough but we've got to be patient.

It's easy, mate, just stop reading the click bait and then you won't have to believe the dross they are writing. It really is that easy!

We have bought 4 players so far, have those clubs you are thinking about done plenty of business so far? I'm not so sure they all have. We still have time in this window to improve the squad further.

You keep saying that certain players have been tracked by us but have gone elsewhere, but the simple fact is that we don't really know who we are in for, unless you read the click bait online who link us with every player and his dog.

Chill out and wait and see, you're doing your own head in by posting every day with the same sort of thing!

Alanc, I sent that last reply too early, fat fingers. ??

The other point that you really need to stop droning on about is the fact that Moyes was a pundit at the World Cup, so what if he was? Do you take work with you on your holidays?

We have an all new, all singing and dancing recruitment team that scouts and identifies players.

Allegedly.

Moyes will have involvement, obviously. There is no difference if he is out of the country or sat at Finch Farm, the technology is there for him to still be involved.

I still feel we have really only signed two players as Rohl and George played for us last year.

The more I look at Norgaard, the more I feel it's a great deal for us. He is a tidy player, who is an upgrade on the last two seasons Gana had. I also think Hackney is a good bit of business. Both of them are less than £25m combined.

There was an article saying we were after Diarra (RWB) , who is free, having left Monaco. Must be better than what we have (well, we have no one so that's easy) .

That'd be a smart buy, but I expect we will get someone else as Norgaard came out the blue. I worry we will try and start Rohl at RB when he is a back up option.

I am now expecting some more loan to buys and a loan deal or two, possibly Grealish as one of them.

I'll be happy when our stadium starts to pay off (literally) and we aren't held back by PSR/SCR as much. I'll be much happier!

BR, I've seen a few people say the same, but I can't really agree. They weren't ours last season, just loaned. We have shelled out a few million on them and we can now say they belong to us.

07 Aug 2026 20:29:33
I understand we have shelled out for them this window, but I wouldn't refer to them as 'new' signings. I also think Rohl was an obligation to buy, so expected him to become permanent. I just hope they get a bit more game time this season and show us why we bought them.

If it's our way around falling foul of the financial rules, I'd happily see a couple more loan to buys this season, and we pay for them next summer. Just hope we sign a decent RB and Striker.

You could say that they are both new signings due to the fact that Moyes barely ever played them, mate!
