I think the McNeil/Johnson swap is decent. Please remember 2 seasons ago McNeil was crucial for us and helped us stay up. He is not as awful as people make out. Remember what people used to say about Iwobi? He has been very decent for Fulham, sometimes a move does a player the world of good.
That brings me onto Johnson, there is a player in there somewhere. I remember a certain Steven Pienaar's career stalling at Dortmund before we brought him in on loan and again at Spurs before we brought him "home", a player needs to find the right club sometimes, Pienaar was always excellent for us.
The one thing Johnson has that McNeil doesn't is pace.and that will always give our opponents cause for concern. Let's hope this move works for both players.

Against this site's grain, I'm all for this deal. McNiel scored some lovely goals, but just not enough. He always was a player who needed a run to play himself in form. Sadly, it was never regular enough, but he's had an ok EFC stint. We'd never get a decent payday from him. I like the Palace winger.
I think he's better than Dwight. Still young, and gives us blistering pace. Room for improvement, too. It's never gonna be a straight swap, but I'd expect 10m + counterbalance payment, and that's good business. 1 out and 1 in, who's better? If we can do that with a few more, it'd be fine with me.

Saying McNeil was crucial to keeping us up when he was part of the reason we nearly got relegated. As for Johnson, well, Forest, Spurs and Palace have all had a look and got rid. Can only think we were so desperate to get rid of McNeil we'd have taken anyone.

Good move, I think. Bj will offer a lot more going forward with his speed, I know if we were losing who I'd be bringing on out of the 2.

That's a great deal for us, I think. Surely must be some fee for Johnson?
