Strange one that, Championship top player and as you say would be first on the team sheet if Middlesbrough had got promoted. Think Moyes support staff need a clear out.

He will need to adapt to the quality of the EPL, his new team mates and new system. He didn't say anything about him not playing, just tempering expectations.
Any player moving to a new club will have a period of adaptation.

He's just deflecting any pressure that us fans may put on him, then if he has a couple of crap games we will all be shouting for him to be put in the reserve like we all do every season. Garner took time to develop, Braithwaite took time to develop, even though I wasn't the biggest fan of us buying him, I think Barry needed to develop, but we shall see on that one.
Half our team don't have a lot of experience in the Prem and that could be an issue, but if you don't try them you will never know. We definitely need more players in attacking areas.

Did he do the same with Tim Cahill, Arteta, Gravesen, Fellaini? I can't remember.

I don't think he is better than Norgaard, Jimmy and KDH anyway, so he shouldn't be starting (as things stand) .

With Jimmy, Tim and Norgaard injured, I feel Hackney may get that first start.
