Why we not going all out to get a RB and Striker? Got 2 puddings up front not fit for the Sunday league and a defence that leaks something chronic. Crying off over a few million after jizzing millions on Beto and Barry.

The budget is the budget. Trying to sign as many players as we can that prove the squad is the aim. If we run out and splash 60 million on a striker in the first week of the window, we then can't do any other deals and the fans moan. The only time to judge the potential success of the window will be on September 1st.
We are not the only club holding up deals. Teams abroad are asking silly money for players and for once, we're saying no and holding out ground. The deals we have done look very sensible so far. Still confident that 2 or 3 will come in.

8 goals for a pudding isn't bad, especially as I didn't rate him at all. Think Barry will be a different player this season. Please send on a post card how many goals all the other strikers scored outside the top 6. Bet there's not a lot of difference in them and Barry.
I'd be surprised if he doesn't reach double figures this year. Pre season he's looked ok, looks like there's a bit of fight in him this season. I'm hoping for a different outcome for him.

Tbf, everywhere he has been previously, his form has dramatically improved after he has had time to settle in.
I am not a fan of the lad, but at least he looks like he can move a bit better on the pitch now.
I imagine the training with the sports science team will also do him good.
He can't be worse than last season, which is a good thing (watch him go and get ended first game against Palace now!)
