Hope they sack Moyes asap. What sort of manager the day before the opening game of a season says we’re not good enough to compete with the likes of Brighton, Bournemouth and Sunderland? The fella is an absolute joke.
He needs to go. Ruined my night. He has was well up for the game tomorrow and already he’s put the fire out and we haven’t even kicked a ball.

Was working late yesterday, didn't see his interview but surely he didn't say we can't compete and if he did it's the knife to a gun fight all over again, maybe he's angling for more money for a few more signings.

Ok let's be clear here. People need to stop putting words in Moyes' mouth. He didn't say anything of the sort in his interview. He didn't even mention Brighton, Bournemouth or Sunderland! All he simply said was he knows what's required to challenge for Europe and thinks we need more signings in the transfer market.
And you know what, he's totally right!
Last season was a perfect example. Last 4 or 5 games the team was burnt out and we didn't have the quality in depth to get us over the line. The fact he's saying we need more purchases to be challenging is 100% correct.
Honest to God some fans on here just hear what you want to hear, you've already made up your minds and you're interpreting things to back up your point of view of 'Moyes out'!
Well I'm sorry but that interpretation is wrong because you're making things up that didn't happen.
I'm neither for or against Moyes.
What I am for is the truth and not putting words into people's mouths to back up my own agenda!
Wise up folks, Moyes is correct, we do need more signings to be truly challenging instead of trying to limp over the line like we did last season. Personally I'd like to storm over that line with our head held high, with other teams in our wake, whoever that may be!
To get to that true position we need to continue to build, simple as that.
If or when we get to a position whereby the team is struggling at the bottom end then we can reassess Moyes' position and I certainly won't be defending him. But personally I'm full of confidence for the season. The 1st half against Lille I thought was positive, the midfield was dynamic and that can only get better with Garner and Norgaard to come in. Hopefully we'll get a RB and striker in and then we'll be challenging! COYB.

Sorry, but we had enough on the bench to change games. Manager just chose not to use them. Instead, he continued with the same formation and tactic. For example, we sat back and gave Spurs the points, then made changes too late in the game and ran them ragged. Those changes could and should have been made earlier.
