Really pleased with our performance, our attacking play was very good, but the defence looked very shaky at times, Tarks has been great for Everton and for a player who came in on a free, has done as much as anybody to keep us in the top flight over some tough years.
However, the years are starting to catch up with him, it's not any lack of respect, but O'Brien must now be Branthwaight partner in the center of defence.

Must say I thought Tarks was pretty good today. Looked more solid than last season. The team in general played well, especially 2nd half.
What a save by Pickford. Re KDH's goal, had Pickford been in goal for Palace, I suspect he may have got to a hand to it, while Henderson was nowhere near it.
There's no doubt he's England's number one. No plaudits, of course, from the media or pundits.

Great result. Very pleased. A few ropey moments but I'm more optimistic for this season given we have more strength in depth.
Lots of positive points. Armstrong and George stand out. Fantastic goal from KDH, does it all the time in training according to Hackney! Let's hope he does it all the time in league too. ?
With returning players, we have good choices too, benefit of having a good squad and it's nice to have that quandary for a change.
Sadly, I have to agree with Always Blues. Tarks is not my first choice. I posted the other day about his stats last year, which were very concerning. He's been a great servant, and I hope he sticks around, but he's becoming a liability for me.
Thank God for Pickford again, but regardless of that, lots of other positives too. Let's get that RB sorted and replace B&B and then the sky's the limit. COYB.
