Like a lot of fellow blues, hope Jake stays and if he leaves good luck to him. But to make Tarkowski captain after being one of the worse defenders in the past 2 seasons, I don't get it. He is in his thirties, his passing is poor and has no pace. Yet because he is captain he is in the team; you earn your place not given it.
Look how many times Odegaard was on the bench when fit — that was the team that won the league. So to think this captaincy gives you automatic selection is a Moyes thing. He cocked up Saturday and Branthwaite bailed him out. His long passes often fall short or go out for throw ins, turning possesion over to the opponent. Just my take UTFT

I've always really liked Tarks, think he has been an excellent signing, esp as on a free. But I do totally get that maybe O'Brien could be starting. And I'm ok with Tarks starting, and, unless an injury or big drop off, he'll start with JB, because he is the captain.
