One week to go. Do we think we will get this elusive rb? I think my expectations are pretty low at the moment with incomings, hopefully will feel happier with the outcome.

Same as last summer, DM is applying the pressure stating what the playing squad needs in his view. And yes, as the deadline approaches, it's more than reasonable for fans to have doubts that the hierarchy will support their manager. If they don't, then something in these pre season (Kinear) interviews stinks and is clearly an unnecessary slight of hand. Or they do the 3 to 5 deals DM has politely demanded and show support for the manager and the club.
Either way, DM is gonna get it between the eyes regardless of who's actually to blame. May as well stay positive until the window shuts, cos the alternative is depressing, and coming on here with the same constant drone that's been the theme of the summer will be too much to bother. We have 3 loan slots so

I think we will get them tbh.
Chances are that we are trying to get Doue, but we won't pay over what we value him at (which is what we should be doing) .
If Strasbourg doesn't budge, I suspect in the last few days of the window or deadline day we will go and get Munoz.

Moyes has been quite clear that if he doesn't feel the options massively improve us at RB, then he will make do with what we have.
Question is, how have we not identified anyone better than a CB and 2 midfielders at RB in the many years we have been in need?

Yes BN, I reckon we will end up with Munoz as well. It looks like Doue is trying to hold out for a Champions League club.
If Beto and JoB go, I think we will need 4 incomings. RB, LB, CD, Striker.

I think Doue definitely does improve us in the right back slot. Not sure about the others. George tour Munoz up at the weekend.

I'd expect a couple. And we are a classic club when it comes to signing a player about an hour after the deadline. Usually a player we know little about. Love waking up the next day to find we sneaked one in.

I think the whole season hinges on another striker and the RB. I have hope in my heart that this will come about. And by the season hinging, I mean, if we are really gonna start going up the table, then we need to get these over the line.

As Doue has gained interest from some little French club called PSG, I suspect he will go there unless Strasbourg do an Athletico Madrid and say they won't sell to a team in their league.
I could see a late loan for Ben White with option/obligation, which I would be ok with, as it solves the gap with an intelligent footballer who could also cover CB.
There is talk of Bahoya and Stuttgart being open to sale, think that would end interest in Grealish but my god this Bahoya is quick!
