Well happy with that result last night. The whole team played well, footy is so enjoyable again. Also good to see DM go over to the Everton fans at the end and get a well earned round of applause. Great start to the season and well deserved.

Gb, are you Moyes in disguise. ?

Credit where credit is due, mate, you are so quick to slate him.

It only seems to be on social media, GB. The general feeling isn't the same at all. I honestly think we now have the tools to get something on the south coast at the weekend too. UTFT. ?

I am, it's true. I used to love him and appreciate everything he has done, and we seem to be playing some decent football. So, like you say, credit where it's due. Sometimes his honesty is construed as negativity, at least he is now playing some youngsters. I will hold my hands up, he's doing OK at the moment.

I would give it a few weeks yet. Let's see if he reverts to type once the senior players are fit. Let's face it, everyone was saying Jake and Branthwaite would be our centre pairing for years to come.
But no, he's closed that door by playing Tarkowski, who again made a mistake last night ahead of him.
So I will wait and see how the first ten games go before I get too excited. Will be very happy if I'm proven wrong.

I've ever loved him, just want him to do well.

Everyone who isn't a football manager was saying play Jake and Brainthwaite?
Moyes's first choice back four, which includes our skipper, haven't let in a goal for over 300 minutes now, BMD?
{Ed025's Note - we all have opinions on who our best centre back pairing should be Peter and that does not make one right or wrong, its just personal preference mate and the manager will be the one who makes that decision..

We all want him to do well, just wish he wasn't so publicly negative.

To be fair to BMD Peter, that was through pure luck and the brilliance of the keeper, mate. Decent start but a long way to go, and if Branthwaite gets injured then we will be right in the you know what.

I think Moyes has learnt his lesson from last season and is playing everything down, due to comments about Europe biting him on the arse.
He's got form on this and I remember him always talking about "40 points needed" in the season we finished fourth.

If Jake has asked to leave then it stands to reason that he won't play for us until either he is sold or the window closes without him moving. There seems to be an air of confidence throughout the team this year. An unhappy player could ruin that team spirit, so it's best to leave him out until the situation is resolved, one way or another.
