It would be so Everton to lose to Bournemouth, which by the way are a very good side and then use the rest of the 72 plus hours to the transfer window closing to panic buy.
But hopefully that is the old Everton and we have a plan to navigate the end of the transfer window and Moyes now has at least a plan B and possibly C to try and go out and win matches.

I enjoyed how vs Palace, when we held a lead, we still played on the front foot and went for more goals, a rare occassion in recent history. I hope to see that again if we lead, and that can apply to a 0-0 too.
I do not want to see us revert to type and play for a draw from the moment the game kicks off.
Feel quite optimistic for a win also tomorrow, COYB.

Hey DMS, £50m was the rough budget based off the SCR as long as staying to our sort of wage structure, Grealish would be the blip on that.
But that's the space onto the current figures and transfer fees get annualised.
So, loosely, you sign Doue £40m on 4 years, that's £10m off that budget. There are some more complexities, but it's the high level version without digging right down.
Max you can spread over is still 5 years.
Player sales go onto that figure, minus the remaining unamortised amount.
So take Ndiaye bought for £15 and three years left, so £9m left so sell for £80m and 85% of the £71m goes onto that figure so £60.35m.
His wages don't make a huge difference though as £45k is low if you add several £100k plus earners and that then impacts the figures a lot!
It's interesting that we are currently projecting over the 85% sitting around 102% but there is a 30% buffer before footballing sanctions come into play.
Newcastle, Villa, Brighton, Leeds and Forest are all over the threshold as well.
As are Fulham, who are said to be close to the line with the buffer sitting at 113%.
Over the line is guess who, Chelsea said to be at 128% hence the sales which looks like it will have made them compliant.
And also Bournemouth who are also at 128% and they actually need to adhere to UEFA's 70%, they were one of the clubs who voted against the SCR format.
So qualifying for Europe has actually done them in, might lead to that Scott sale to avoid penalties although their owner seems to want to keep spending.
Under the penalties breaching the 115% gets an automatic 6 point deduction which can increase to a max of 12 depending on the value of overspend and a potential transfer ban unless they make a player sale or sales to become compliant.
Next summer things take a huge upturn for us with the increased revenues from BMD finally hitting the accounts.

Southern Toffee, that is a fabulous insight into the new SCR regulations, I've looked into this quite a bit myself and yes in the next 12/18 months we are going to be in a much healthier position regarding SCR compliance, which obviously means higher transfer budgets etc etc ...
