Everyone needs to chill out. We've just got a good point after a good first half showing but ran out steam in the second. However, there was plenty of fight. We look much better equipped to fight for Europe this season with some exciting talent at the club.
Listen, we've spent over £170 to 190m in two summers and not recouped any money. So if we need to buy more players then we have to sell. Every club has to do it.
I don't want Armstrong to go but if we can't sell O'Brien, Ili, Tim, Charly and maybe a couple of others then Armstrong maybe the sacrifice.
Personally I want him to stay and genuinely would rather keep the team we have before selling him. However, we don't know the finances at the club just yet.
Before we all get the pitch forks out, let's see where the land llies at the end of the window. But if you think we won't sell players to generate revenue then you've got your heads burried in the sand.

A bit left field, and maybe unpopular, but if there is genuine interest, I would rather sell Ndiaye £80 mill, keep Armstrong, and get in Grealish (currently touted going to Sunderland) and Richarlison.

I think that's the plan DMS, but no one is really nailing their colours to the mast and getting it done. I agree completely with this as well, and something I would prefer.
Tim's injury probably scuppered the move for a right back. Then there was a story about O'Brien, which I think the thought could be the sacrifice, but no one bit.
Clubs get these stories out there to generate interest.
We'll see what happens. I think, though, Armstrong will stay and there will be another lamb to the slaughter.

So, why spend 20m on George and 7m on a player who's injured? Can't be to beef the squad up if we are now looking to sell Ndiaye and Armstrong.

By the looks of it we could afford to buy these players and they were definitely needed with us losing Gana and Jack. So I understand why.
Selling Ili could mean we get 3, 4 or 5 other players, which makes logical sense.
My argument in not selling Armstrong is that in 2 or 3 years he's the next £100m player. English, multi-tasking, and looks a leader already. Also, he doesn't want to go.
