I accept I'm in the minority here based on what I've read.
12 months isn't accurate in the full from what I've read. He has the option of an extra year. so it's really 24 months on a great wage.
Yes, he's 29, he's only 30 at the end of next season (May) . He got 11 prem goals and 4 assists last year for a team that finished 17th! I think Spurs fans are ridiculous with the crap they give him. He's also not as injury prone as people say, 32 apps in prem last campaign.
Is 35m really that much for a player desperate to play for Everton? We know he'll give everything and he'll definitely score goals for us.
He'll also sell a ton of merchandise.

4 off the top of my head, I bet there's tons. This lad is desperate to play for us and will give evrything, can also play 2 positions. Its not a bad deal for me, he'll have a good impact.

Absolutely right. He has an extension so yeah, in effect it's shy of 2 years left. Seems from his statement he sees us very affectionately and is taking shots at agents and Spurs. Manager has already publicly aired he's asked 1 too many times to leave, so he now doesn't want him about the place, especially after a more general criticism of the feeling at Spurs and lack of team spirit. Can't see a way back, but that doesn't guarantee we will get him.
Be nice though. So fingers crossed for Ricky, Tete, the Monaco yank, Jack and 1 more mystery surprise to fill the 2nd UK loan spot and just maybe a 3rd loan of a non UK based player? We need the bodies. Hopefully Beto didn't slip off the treadmill and bruise his a99 in Florence. And hopefully that O'Brien thing was just wave making. Will it be 6 incoming?

I really think we are in a great position if Balogun, Richi, Grealish, Tete all sign. Apparently is possible 1 more too somewhere.
Rewind Saturday morning, and we were losing Armstrong and Ndiaye.
This feels bliss. I think we are genuine European challengers with that business, especially if Moyes keeps up going at teams from the first whistle, which has been a really refreshing surprise for me first 3 games.
