Are we that desperate for money that we are prepared to leave ourselves without a single recognized right back and only one left back? We appear to be offloading Patterson, which in itself is not a disaster, but not before we get a single right back as his replacement and only one left back.
It might all change for the better come 6 pm, but right not, this is looking foolhardy and negligent. I hope to goodness I am wrong. One thing is for sure: we should never ever have left our chase for both right and left fullbacks until today, in my humble opinion. What say my fellow Evertonians?
{Ed025's Note - that really does need sorting and quick TB, its ok getting all these midfielders and forwards but we might have to score 3 to get a draw if this is not addressed mate..

The Ile deal is about timing, I think, rather than cash. We needed to get top dollar for him and clearly felt the best chance was to do it now. Three years left on his contract, yeah £65 does seem low, but it might've helped the Grealish move.
And just to correct that idiot Chelsea fan on Sky last night, whose name I can neither pronounce nor spell, Ile had three years left on his contract, not one. If you're on the telly get it right! One job! One job!

I agree with the basic and obvious requirements but Patto is a crime against footballers. If he was a dog he'd have been put down years ago

On paper, letting our only right back leave sounds bad, but when you consider that he's actually 4th choice and not going to play regardless, it makes more sense.

Whatever Patto has been on for the last three seasons has been an utter waste of money. I know Myko gets slated on here, but they were bought at the same time, and Patto has barely more than a handful of games each season. At least Myko actually plays for his wages.
