The next big issue we are going to have is a no club or player are going to jump at the chance to discuss any deal with us.
We find phantom problems to try to renegotiate the deal. A player could be 100% fit and rupture his ACL or something on debut.
No signing for £40m is without risk.
We have become a laughing stock and should have a whole new medical and recruitment team by Christmas.
If any of us messed up like this in our jobs, we would be out of a job. Pure and simple.

The same team that completes the Grealish deal and the Maitland Niles deal? Any chance that Balogun is just a bad apple?

Depends on whether we were messing about with his wages.
A lot does not add up.
A well organised recruitment team would have had a proper backup sorted around 7pm if they spotted a problem. They should have contacted Dju or his knows how many other options out there rather than mess about with the deal.

JBtoffee, you and me could have negotiated for a player that did not want anywhere else and for a player whose Club are desperate for funds.

Plus those deals were probably completed before the joke of the Balogun deal came to light.
And picture this. you are in a job, you apply for a new job and get it, everything is agreed.
They found out you sprained your wrist last year, it probably won't, but it may flare up again, so they offer you 5-10k a year less to do the same job as they think it may affect your ability to do the job 100%, would you have 2nd thoughts about leaving the job you know, to work for them? I am well aware of using a sprained wrist as the injury could lead to a few jokes being made.
? It is a ridiculous decision and one every player is going to think about when the club talk to them.

Do we know this is what definitely happened? If so, then yes, that's not an approach that's likely to go down well.
Either way, the recruitment team have failed miserably. 18 senior players is a dereliction of duty.
