Right then, so we pursue our £35m paid to Burnley first and foremost? If we'd been one place higher Burnley wouldn't have had a case against us - fact, full stop. Then, like everybody else, we'd be able to pursue a decade of lost prize money (and European qualification where applicable) .

Think football changed when the billionaires bought clubs in the late 90s/2000s. We will never know the skeletons in United, Liverpool or Spurs' closets.
It's criminal that Chelsea got away with it. Just waiting to see how they bend the rules for city now. The whole 'Chelsea complied with investigation' and 'they are now under new ownership' hypocrisy won't work for City.
Regardless of what punishment happens, they have now got the infrastructure to return to the top table within a few seasons (if they get the harshest punishment) .
The Premier League had a chance to sort things with Chelsea and they chose not to. Let's see what they do with City.
