Just reading the comments on here about Burnley suing us and what might it mean for man city and other clubs suing them.
I'm just thinking outside the box let's say we would've finished higher each season due to city's cheating we would've had extra prize money, does that mean we wouldn't have broken FFP when we did.
Also do we get the extra prize money back that we lost due to points deductions and all the legal fees of the case etc where will it end.
It is going to be a proper clusterf***, when or if this ever gets sorted out.

Not gone into great depth looking at all the seasons, but in one of them we finished 5th (one place outside champs league) and in one of them 8th (one place outside Europa League) . Although both precede the period we were charged for both would have involved extra revenue, extra exposure, potential extra sponsorship income so therefore the potential for us to have not broken the rules in the period that we did. The whole thing is a proper car crash and shows what a shambles the Premier League leadership is.
Does highlight the question though.
What is the purpose of the rules? They're supposed to be about sustainability, but Man City have built themselves into a massive club by breaking the rules so are they fit for the claimed purpose? Or does it shine a light on the real truth that the rules are there to stop wealthy people buying clubs and funding them to the extent they might upset the established order. Imagine any other industry/sector where you buy a business but are not allowed to invest enough to make the business successful.
