Just seen these figures doing the rounds regarding the potential financial losses suffered by clubs as a result of Man City's alleged financial breaches.

According to the figures published by Give Me Sport, Everton could potentially be looking at £28,944,186, which is apparently the highest amount of any club on the list.

The figures are based on potential losses relating to things such as league positions, European qualification, Premier League prize money, and the impact on league and cup titles.

And there's another important factor to consider: interest.

We've already seen with the Burnley case against us that interest can form part of a compensation claim. So if clubs were ultimately able to bring successful claims against City, the final amounts could potentially be considerably higher than the figures below depending on how interest was calculated.

The figures shown are:

1. Everton — £28,944,186

2. Manchester United — £28,118,305

3. West Ham United — £28,089,124

4. Crystal Palace — £27,333,243

5. Newcastle United — £26,902,577

6. Chelsea — £25,787,679

7. Tottenham Hotspur — £25,540,172

8. Liverpool — £24,423,357

9. Aston Villa — £23,052,791

10. Brighton — £21,769,248

11. Bournemouth — £21,415,229

12. Arsenal — £21,290,352

13. Southampton — £21,228,124

14. Wolves — £20,492,042

15. Burnley — £19,203,326

16. Fulham — £19,024,448

17. Leicester City — £17,994,755

18. Brentford — £14,200,387

19. Nottingham Forest — £12,611,429

20. Sunderland — £10,935,938

21. West Bromwich Albion — £10,854,801

22. Watford — £10,492,758

23. Leeds United — £10,297,033

24. Swansea City — £9,107,386

25. Stoke City — £9,107,206

26. Norwich City — £7,448,389

27. Sheffield United — £6,618,375

28. Hull City — £4,422,590

29. Huddersfield Town — £3,849,786

30. Cardiff City — £3,154,601

31. Luton Town — £3,100,000

32. Queens Park Rangers — £2,755,841

33. Ipswich Town — £2,651,429

34. Middlesbrough — £1,941,609

35. Wigan Athletic — £1,510,943

36. Reading — £755,881

37. Blackburn Rovers — £755,062

38. Bolton Wanderers — £755,062

We've spent years hearing about financial sustainability, PSR, points deductions and clubs being punished for relatively small breaches, while this case potentially involves alleged financial advantages on a completely different scale.

Obviously, these are potential calculations and not confirmed amounts that City have been ordered to pay. There would still be major legal questions over whether individual clubs could establish a claim and how any losses would actually be calculated.

But if the alleged breaches are ultimately established and clubs can demonstrate that they suffered financial losses as a consequence, I'd certainly expect the compensation question to become a very interesting part of the aftermath.

And if our potential figure really is £28.9m before interest, you can bet I'd want the club looking very closely at whether we're entitled to every penny.

Wont happen, politics will intervene.

Why are we top of the list again? Other teams would have missed out on more than us.

Wasn't our charge based around a £22million interest payment on the ground due to rising cost because we failed to anticipate Russia invading Ukraine.
Interesting that we were £28 m shy of potential earnings would that have kept us out of FSP?

I also thought investing in infrastructure wasn’t taken into account for FFP. I’m probably ignorant of why we were actually done but I’m also sure we complied with everything and didn’t try to hide it. However, Chelsea had a fine and City will probably get a slapped wrist. Nearly ruined us but other teams just don’t suffer as much
