Well my fellow Evertonians, with 30 league games left and our threadbare squad beginning to get hit by the odd injury for me exiting the cup on Thursday could be a slight blessings in disguise ets face it we were extremely unlikely to win it so let's concentrate on trying to pick up some league points and worry about the FA cup when that tests out squad depth now I am sure my opinion will be at odds with quite a few of my fellow Evertonians but that's what's this forum is about debate so let's hear your thoughts please my fellow blues.

Football is about winning trophies if we are no longer trying to do that then why are we bothering. Their is always a possibility of winning a cup while the league is just a pipe dream.

Despite a thin squad, our bench is as strong as it has been for a while, certainly some rotation is possible. I say go for it against Newcastle on Thursday, give the fans something to cheer, and then go from there.

A very good opportunity for Dibling, Hackney, Alcaraz etc etc will have a good chance of valuable playing time, I'm going for a win for us myself these second string can prove to DM what has been missing.

Obviously I don't sincerely wish any ill-will on a player but maybe we get lucky and Johnson or Mykolenko get a niggle so he has no other option but to make changes to his predictable and boring 11.
