Jack in the Team ahead of Dibling every time for me, last night proved it.

Why not both mate? Grealish on the left and Dibling on the right. Personally I would like to see Dibling given a go in the 10.
Dibling didn't have the best game by any means last night but the lad has had a half of football in the PL this season, how on earth is he supposed to build up any rhythm or confidence with that. Forwards thrive off minutes and he hasn't had a sniff. Not to mention the fact he is s*** scared of the manager, so never plays to his natural strengths and turns back to play it backwards, rather than running at his man like he did at Southampton.
Still refuse to judge the lad personally.
{Ed025's Note - its hard to judge him because we have seen very little of him BN, we all know that if your face does not fit with Moyes you will never win...just ask Charley, Hackney and Dibbs, Tyler looks miserable but who can blame him, his confidence is shot and i feel for the guy but only him can change that..

I'm with you on that one BN.
My thoughts on last night was that people who (I believe) should be given a chance, were: Hackney, Dibling, Charly, Obrien (in his proper position) and look what happened.
If DM doesn't start rotating like this more often, we'll be gassed out by March.
Anyway, it was a great result and very much needed!

You are spot on Ed. I am not going to come on here and say the lad played well, he didn't. However, I think the conditions are all against him to see him perform well. Imagine having Moyes as your manager.
The lad played well against Wolves and fans were delighted with what they had seen, then he goes and starts Johnson ahead of him, who has done nothing to warrant starts.
The only way we are going to see this lad improve is to trust him and allow him to build up rhythm and confidence.
He is not playing how he naturally plays the game. He was an out and out ball-carrier for Southampton. When he gets the ball now, you can tell he wants to go but he turns back and goes backwards. That negativity comes from the manager and being afraid of being pulled off the pitch.
Put him in Brighton's or Brentfords team and our fans would all be screaming what another gem they have unearthed.
Personally, I am not going to judge a lad who has been given 43 minutes of league football. When you also add in the fact that the lad is 20 years old, it only makes that a more sensible decision for me.
{Ed025's Note - i cant argue with that mate..

Dibling was harshly given 3/10 he should have been given 4/10. How many chances should he be given. The one guy that had a tremendous game on the right when he played was George never seen since in that position. Get Grealish sober put him back on the left george on the right Garner RB, Hackney Armstrong in the middle, we should be goid to go.

I thought dibling was good last night in general but his final pass was poor 2/3 times which is highlighted (rightfully so)
Their best player by a country mile is left back Lewis Hall, i think Dibling did well vs him and loads of defensive work too.
These young lads can't be removed because they have lit it up, they need some time and grace to find consistency.

Dibling did nothing last night. Showed the occasional glimpse in frirndlies and must show it in training or he wouldn't even make the bench. Johnson is ahead of Dibling on the right and he *Johnson* is absolute crap.

Disagree completely, but that's opinions.

McNeil and Harrison were often picked ahead of people and they were both sh**e too, doesn't mean anything.
The lad would not have had the amount of interest in him from top clubs in the winter if he was no good. Southampton put a stupid price on his head and brought it down to get a buyer due to them being relegated.
The top clubs were already well-stocked for players and probably made a decision that the price was too high to pay for a player that would not get in their starting 11 and would be one that was a few years away from doing so.
The way he has been handled ever since he got here has mirrored how this club has been handled for the last few decades - p*** poor.

It means everything, what those mentioned show in training do not bring it into big boys game. What I am saying is Johnson is crap but gets in front of Dibling who is probably better but fails to show it when he gets his chance.
Moyes said of the lad he was going to give him a hard pre-season. You say you would want to see him as a 10, so would I but who does he replace and in any case I rate Alcaraz higher and he cannot get in either.
30 Oct 2026 15:25:29
When I say it doesn't mean anything, I was specifically referencing that Johnson has not shown anything when he starts either, so if Dibling is better and neither show it in games (Dibling has played 43 minutes of league football btw) , then just play the better player.

Someone else mentioned it that if dibling was playing for some other manager he would be getting mentioned as the next Beckham or some other ex prem English player but his manager is moyes who is not exactly a great man manager he sits there in press conferences saying he should've done this or he never did that never heard his praise any of the current players just blaas on about how hard it is to win a league match needs to take the brakes off.

He's had one game for Christ's sake. But let's bin him for the pisshead because he's the future right?
