Hopefully more lazy journalism but just been reading Utd may be looking to take Jimmy Garner back, hopefully that is all it is.

We have a 1 year option on garner so may activate it if contract talks break down. Can command a better fee and also would stop him signing pre contract agreement in January. But I think he'll sign contract extension.

I hope he doesn't for his sake as much as our own. He just doesn't suit Amorim's system and will have a bad time there. Hopefully sense prevails.
Always thought he was Manchester born and bred, but turns out he's from the wirral and joined United at 8. No idea who his boyhood club was.

Unfortunately, I don't think this one is lazy journalism. He's a good, versatile, home grown premier league player who has less than a year on his contract.
He'll be attractive to a few clubs, but I think he'd also class as a 'club home grown' for European competitions, which is an important aspect.
Personally, if we were ever to entertain this deal, Mainoo needs to be included.

I’d like to think that he’s invested in the project and can see us getting back up there. I reckon it’s just posturing for a new deal.
