So £5 million a year plus add ons for John Stones to come to Everton, hefty wage demands for a 32 yr old that.
{Ed025's Note - too much i would say GB...but its not my money mate..

He wants a two year or preferably a three year contract as well, mate, too much outlay that.
{Ed025's Note - well i think so mate..

Crap at maths, is that £100 grand a week then. No transfer fee, but no doubt a few quid on a signing on fee. I would offer him a pay if you play contract, bet he wouldn't be injured then.

Too much, too long, don't care how much experience he has.

£100k a week doesn't seem too unreasonable to me - whether we should pay it is another question.

The going rate for someone of his quality and experience and plenty of other teams will pay it. It would be a big gamble on his fitness though.

Well, I read that he wants six million a year for two years with an option of a third so we are looking at 18M. Since he is on a free. From a financial viewpoint, it is a no-brainer, where could you get an English International for a combination of transfer fee and wages?
What has to be taken into account is his age, injury history, and if he can play well for three years.
I would say no, personally, but it has nothing to do with finances.

Didn't we pay City £12.5 million and that wasn't even his full salary, and ifs and buts. Is Jack gonna start getting injured more frequent, know 1 knows. I hope not. If we did sign Jack, what wages would he want, plus whatever transfer fee we would be paying. Nothing us fans can do about it. We just have to get behind the lads, Coyb's. ??

There's no such thing as getting a player on a "free".
09 Jul 2026 12:22:46
Sorry BMD, I meant he is a free agent so no transfer fee. I promise to be more specific in future.

Mike, not having a pop, what I mean is none of them are free because they will all want a hefty signing on fee. As for Stones he's just being a greedy bugger.
