So Kinnear has confirmed that the owners TFG see last season for us as an abject failure mostly due to the form of the team towards the latter half of the season and they're failure to qualify for Europe hmm I think if things go tits up for Moyes at the start of this season, he'll be gone by Christmas!

He also said that injuries to key players JB and Jack were also to blame, as AFCON also caused problems. Kinnear actually praised DM.

People can blame the manager (and I agree he is part to blame) , but the biggest reason we didn't qualify for Europe is their reluctance to move in the January market and specifically, getting a RB in.
This could have been done in Jan with ease.

Agree ? with that, BlueNose.
Could Moyes do more with tactics in my eyes... Yes.
Could the players have done better... Yes.
But not having an actual right back is awful and must make life so hard.
Hopefully there is a little more trust that players can do more from the bench and we can impact games before the players are run ragged.

Like Kinnear said though, it's a project, and there is a lot to look forward to.
I've been comparing us to the likes of Bournemouth, Sunderland, Coventry. But what was said in that interview makes sense, and gave me a different perspective. We could definitely do that with the finances we have right now, but we'd rather build sustainably, and do a proper job, so the success isn't short lived.
Many a team have made the mistake of throwing silly money at proven superstars who are getting towards the end of their career, good for a few seasons, but then what do you do when they leave for next to nothing? Can't re-invest, if you haven't made anything in the first place.

The club are looking to progress and be successful in a sustainable way.
In year one we've seen a new stadium, improved financial standing and commercial partnerships, and investment in the squad.
This looks set to continue in the second year.
Don't believe all the hype, we're moving in the right direction.

Of course are mate.

I'm of the opinion that we need a better manager. But only replace him with someone who would do better. We all can't agree on this - it's football. But we all want better.
It's why we want new players in, why we needed a better stadium, why we change the recruitment team, why Kinnear calls out poor performance.
So if Moyes has to go by Christmas, so we can move up a gear, then why not? Oh, and I'd like entertaining football too.
But for now we have games to win, so I'm fully behind them all for the three points on Saturday.
COYB.

ST, Welsh & JB, you are all spot on and I don't disagree with what you've said, but your points aren't mutually exclusive to the situation on the pitch.
We could and should have easily got a RB in the January window, and that would more than likely have gotten us the 5pts we needed to get into Europe.
Not only would that have given the fans something back for their unwavering support, but it would have made us more relevant across the footballing landscape. Not to mention, recruitment would have been easier, as money and European football are 2 huge factors for players when deciding which move to make these days.
