Is this just me and conspiracy theories, or could this latest lack of investment in the playing squad be a way to undermine Moyes in the last year of his contract, knowing that if he decides to walk rather than him being dismissed the financial package that TFG would have to provide would greatly benefit our owners' pockets but again this could just be me reaching what say my fellow Evertonians?

I can't believe that Moyes wasn't involved in this transfer somehow. It's stated that he has a say in who goes and who comes in, and he must have met the lad at Finch Farm at some point and talked to him.

And, surely, if, as is said, he failed his medical, then wouldn't you think the manager would talk to the player to discuss what could be done? Or do we believe that he had no input into this mess.

Sidelined mate once negotiations start.

Moyes clearly wanted more players. It wasn't him who screwed things up with last minute penny pinching. Also, Balogun needs to take a bit of flak for flouncing out after he'd missed his early flight to Liverpool - if he'd bothered to get that flight everything counter wrapped up before the deadline.

I'm behind Moyes all the way. Yes, he's annoying, but I think he's the one I'd trust at the moment.

So by sidelined, do you mean he never actually met the player? Which would be odd, given he must have had a say in perusing him. As Brass said, he has a say in all transfers, doesn't he? If not, makes you wonder if he even wanted the lad.

I mean look at how he's treated Aznou. Not as if our current left back is ripping it up is it.

I think the recent situation with the owners has distracted a lot of people from how unhappy we all were with Moyes' tactics and selections a few weeks ago.

I also have a lot more sympathy for the circumstances he's operating under, but that doesn't change the actual 11 he picks and how badly he often has them playing - and have thought all window that TFG might be being cautious with their money, knowing he's not the man they want going forward.

I didn't think they're actively pushing him to quit, as you say, but I do suspect they don't want to invest too heavily in his vision, knowing they might have someone new before the end of the year.

Now that could be a lot nearer the truth, Alexb.
