You would think so, Bob, but buying a football club for around a billion is a bit too complicated for me, but I think we will have new owners once again and the merry go round starts again.

They are not looking to sell yet; they are looking for investors (as appears to be the football ownership model) . Read the full FT article. We were bought because of the Stadium, without that, Everton is worth zilch. Since they have come in, the Club is in a financially better position.
That position will become stronger as the Stadium develops. They are business people with investors, not a charitable organisation or a Near East Investment Fund awash with oil money.

Agree there is some exaggeration in some of the above posts, but given how close this news comes on the back of the transfer debacle, I find it amazing that rather than having the guts to at least address the fans and admit mistakes were made and that people will be held accountable - they have instead chosen to leak an article saying they are seeking investment/selling a stake.
Absolutely class-less behaviour.

It is the people they hired that are in hiding, and the Friedkins failed in one vital area, hiring a good PR firm. I reckon Kinnear hired Reeves CV writer as well.
