I haven't posted for several weeks, as following the abysmal transfer window, out of respect I decided to give Moyes a chance.
This has been extremely difficult as I wasn't bothered when he left, didn't want him back, wanted him gone after we stayed up and wanted him gone at the end of last season. So you could say that I'm firmly in the Moyes out camp.
I think it's fair to say that our early results papered over the cracks. The last couple of games have only confirmed what many of us considered to be the serial failings of our manager and has proven that our particular Leopard can't change his spots.
I won't go over old ground as his numerous failings have been highlighted by many of us over a considerable period of time.
If it were possible I would love to know the answer to a few questions, namely I knew that Barry was s___e before we signed him and he is still s___e now, so why did Moyes persuade him to join us by telling him that he was good enough to play in the Premier League? What does Dibling have to do to get a start? He is far superior to Johnson.
We really must've been desperate to get rid of McNeil if the only way we could do so was to swap for an absolutely bang average player. I honestly believe that Palace got the better of the deal. Hackney also is a class player who deserves a chance, as does George in the striker role.
Why end our search for a right back by signing Maitland Niles who everyone knows is a midfielder who has filled in as a right back? and obviously why give Mykolenko a new contract when he is crap and then not even provide him with any competition? and why is Kinnear still at the club.
It's certainly not too late to put things right and we have the solutions within the squad to get us through to January and beyond. I just don't feel that the man at the helm has the guts or ability to do so.

Agree 100% mate I've stuck by DM more than most but enough is enough he has to go, he has no tactics whatsoever we ca turn this around but not with him.

And who on earth are you proposing as this saviour that will take us back to the top table? I am a fan of Moyes but am the first to admit his shortcomings. However, in the scenario we are currently in with a paper thin squad and owners who won't invest as they want to move on, we need someone who knows the club and has the pedigree to keep us in the division.
Anyone who thinks this season will be anything other than another relegation battle is in La-la land and this is not the time to be trying to play expansive aggressive pressing football, especially we don't have the calibre of player to do that!
{Ed025's Note - i get where you are coming from Chris i really do, but just sitting back and accepting the inevitability of it all is just blind faith mate, look we all know how thin the squad is and nobody is saying its going to be easy but to think after all we have been trough that doing nothing will work is just futile, will anything change because people have a moan on here?...no but if you are wanting us all to say that Moyes is doing a good job you might have a long wait, playing for a draw from the start means we will always be on the back foot, leaving out players that are obviously better than he picks week in week out (thats opinion of course) and leaving the subs far too late are just a few of the gripes we all have, i suspect you are in the minority myself but i wont be telling anyone how they should think anytime soon..

We all love the club GB but I really wonder what motivates Moyes. Also Baines is a highly respected modern coach. I wonder if Moyes actually listens to him.
Welcome aboard mate.

Are we going to judge our season on games against Chelsea and Arsenal? After the window we had, any sensible fan would have accepted mid table mediocrity, which we're well on track for. Forget the result today, I thought we gave them a game, could have been a different result with a few rubs of the green.

I'm judging our season on how we finished last season and how we have done so far. Remind me how many games have we actually won?

Paper thin squad yet he still doesn't utilise the subs bench. Strange approach.

No body's judging this season on results it the team he picks same setting every week when we have better options not getting a look in. Hackney dibling obrien the loaning of aznou george alcaraz all player that would make us more competitive the way they tried to sell Armstrong to forest of all teams as if the lad wanted to go to forest constantly playing barry he can't control a football when the 1 player that could dcl was released for free the list goes on we're getting our pants pulled down.

I believe, hand on heart that if this was a different manager and not our own David Moyes, there would be louder vocal and more vitriolic disapproval of his current mindset.
The sympathy for the lack of squad depth and seeming to be hung out to dry by TFG is now fast becoming a non-factor with little relevance to Moyses' own refusal to change tack and try something new or more tactically savvy.
Right now he must be an opposing manager's dream come true. with his predictability.

Well we are back to letting two goals in every match, remember the end of last season. Playing for a draw is not the way when we have such a defense. Even Spurs beat Chelsea away and we gave them respect! We don't have a bad squad, we just don't use them in their best positions and Moyes sticks to the same players and tactics over and over again.
Moyes is not a bad Manager, he is just old fashioned and bang average. You want stability, mid-table mediocrity and boring football he's your man.

I'm not the leader of the Moyes fan club, but please look what happens to w/ham when they ditch Moyes.
Next season, with a new and hopefully commited owner, ok, but let's make sure where still a premiership club. Ditch Moyes now, who will come in and give us a better chance of staying up?
