I may be setting myself up for a hammering here. Here it goes. The only thing that bobby has said in the past that I agree with which at first I thought was ridiculous was to move Bainse into centre mid. He is the only play on the pitch who can make quick cutting passes forward. Barry and Barkley both have their qualities but lack this basic attribute to quicken the play. I think he is coming to the end of his time as a marauding full back even though still has quality in that position.
Thoughts?

Even before Martinez came and in fact when we got Baines from Wigan, I said then that Baines would make a good left sided wing back but we had Peanuts at the time. Then when we got Oviedo up and running I thought then that would be the change. I still think it.

Every player is replaceable. Look and the other lot. 50m for torres replaced with 25m suarez 10m sturridge. The players are always out there its about scouting them before they're banging 30 a season

When Martinez first came I thought the Spanish style possession, high pressing game would be a breath of fresh air. Unfortunately for a manager who obviously pays close attention to his catalan roots, the pressing game which I thought would take us to the next level is the major factor in our very poor home form. It does occasionally make an appearance away from home but it's bobbys lack of ability to implement this on a weekly basis that will eventually cost him his job.

I was laughed at a couple of seasons ago when I told the lads down the boozer that I thought pochettino was the best manager in the league. High pressing intensity football seems to be paying off for his teams.

Good post and I wish I could have had your optimism right at the beginning of Martinez appointment. I knew with all that is common sense that Mr Martinez would not be the person to drive us forward and take no pleasure in seeing that prophesy come true. The problem we have had up until the new investor coming in, is that Mr Kenwright somehow has managed to convince himself that Roberto Martinez is this all achieving Manager that can do no wrong. I am going to wait until the last possible minute to renew my season ticket for 2016/ 17 but if this fraud is still there then I will not renew at all. This is me signing off until next season.

Let's just hope Moshiri has the balls Kenwright hasn't got! and gets rid of Martinez now.

Is it just me or is Barkley getting away with murder week in week out. He'll have 1 good performance every 5+games and then absolutely nothing for weeks. The talent he has is great but sadly in my view his enthusiasm for the ugly side of the game I. e closing down, work rate leaves him miles short of fulfilling his potential. Is this why Woy Hodgson is often seen grimacing at international level when Barkley is on the pitch?
