SSN reporting PSG bid 21.5m for Gueye player keen to go personally I don't blame him!

1.) 27 Jan 2019 21:13:22
If the offer was right I would sell if the player wants to go. Seems to low an offer though. Maybe with his age and give us a chance to bring a new midfielder in. A new face may give everyone a lift. I like Gueye and he maybe a player you can get a few years out of like Fernandinho at 34. He’s not a leader though and maybe his replacement might and the balance in midfield could improve. Someone like Doucoure would be advantageous at defending set pieces.

2.) 27 Jan 2019 23:05:35
He’s 29 so £21m is a rubbish offer on market value he is in his prime now.

3.) 27 Jan 2019 23:30:59
Would you bring in a new midfielder now if Gueye went?
Goals is an area to be addressed so I’d move on a striker as we do have Jimmy Mc, Davies and Beni who could step up.

4.) 28 Jan 2019 08:06:17
I can see the logic Southern the problem I can see what striker? Nobody stands out and as we all know January’s not the best time. We don’t want to go out and buy a £20m striker and be same as Tosun. We need top striker and need to pay £60/ 70m. That type of player won’t be available until the summer then we need to convince them we are going somewhere! Easier said than done at the moment.

5.) 28 Jan 2019 11:46:55
Couldn't agree more STB, something I've said before. Posters on here have been crying out for the '20 goals a season man' for a long time. As if such a thing is common everywhere.

Personally I still think our biggest issue is not enough goals/ support from elsewhere.

Bernard, Walcott and to a lesser extent Gomes/ Lookman need to be creating more problems for defenses. With the exception of Richarlison we play like our only plan is to get the ball in the box to a striker. This means defenders can focus on stifling whoever that is, and until the support players get more involved and pose some questions that won't change, no matter who is up front.

Whether that is down to the players or Silva is the question!

6.) 28 Jan 2019 19:28:38
Connor Wickham is back and fit lol.

01 Feb 2018 08:19:01
interesting rumour doing the rounds, According to Calcio Mercato, Everton snubbed a swap proposal from Inter Milan on deadline day, which involved Morgan Schneiderlin and Marcelo Brozovic.

1.) 01 Feb 2018 08:49:51
I'd have taken that all day long.

2.) 01 Feb 2018 15:49:21

3.) 01 Feb 2018 20:14:41
Unless he's the Croatian Schneiderlin.

30 Nov 2017 11:56:01
Find it hard to take some posters snide comments on here although I understand it's a banter site.
Firstly it appears Big Sam is our new permanent manager, that if it true is done!
Hopefully he's the right man to turn our season, however it won't happen overnight.
Let's hope in January Walsh does what he's paid to do and brings some quality fresh talent into the squad!

We had little options available and they've turned to a specialist in reversing our current position.
He has spoken respectfully of the club and it's history and supporters I for one will be right behind him as he is our hope, I understand many peoples resentment and he like many has made a mistake but we all deserve a second chance, it was very costly for him!

We need a win tonight to lift everyone at this great club!

1.) 30 Nov 2017 12:20:50
Good shout mate, we have to live and let live, just get so fed up with some of these snide posts on here mate same as you, i will get behind whoever wants to help our Great Club, end of.

2.) 01 Dec 2017 18:54:32
In my opinion he no more made a mistake than many of us would. If someone approached me while under contract it does not necessarily mean I would not listen to them as indeed he did. Also I would point out I could perhaps be interested in the future but that I and you would have to discuss with my present employers again which is exactly what Sam did and said. It is only the hysteria perpetuated by the media in this Country that fans the fire.

20 Jul 2017 17:56:10
We were linked with Rachid Ghezzal in January I believe he is now a free agent, anyone know if we still have an interest in him?

{Ed002's Note - He has made it clear he has no interest in moving to Everton.}

1.) 20 Jul 2017 19:21:22
Reports today Rachid Ghezzal is in talks with Watford.

2.) 20 Jul 2017 19:49:09
He must really dislike Everton if he's interested in Watford rather than us. Good old rumours eh 🤣.

3.) 21 Jul 2017 10:09:25
Contradicts what he said last year then, I remember reading a report that he wanted to join a team playing in Europe, I am sure Watford aren't in Europe!

15 May 2017 15:45:42
Has anyone else seen the leaked pic of the supposed kit with Sportpesa logo?
I do hope its a red herring and not the actual shirt, it looks a training kit!

{Ed007's Note - efckit

1.) 15 May 2017 16:20:30
seen that it's definitely the training kit.

2.) 15 May 2017 16:21:22
Looks more like a training type shirt that.

3.) 15 May 2017 16:34:09
yes strange because the teaser on the website looks to be a lighter blue.

4.) 15 May 2017 17:43:31
To me it looks like the training top for next year guess we will find out tommorrow for sure.

Most posts tonight are fair without to much knee jerk reaction.
However listening today on the radio and looking at the financial position we are in with no money because of the poor player recruitment we have undergone over the past few years points to the board, to many managers to quickly replaced and poor scouting or dof placement.
Tonight we saw a mid table premier club lacking a game plan, and motivation against a struggling lower championship side enjoying a day out in the FA cup with a desire to beat the odds!
We had a strong side out but how can you defend the statistic of 3 yes 3 shots on target in a game with these stats!
Siggy, lookman, DCL, Richarlison as our forward players surely this is not enough!
Same formation failed again, although we dominated the game in possession stats we did F*** all with that!
Defence is a shambles and at this time in the season I see why Barcelona sold Mina! Keane is still poor and the only plus is Zouma!
I want to give the manager a chance but he cannot get the best from this group is lacking motivation and tactics! This is looking like de ja vue 3rd year on the trot!
Best of luck Milwall you showed a lot of heart and deserve it!

22 Jan 2019 10:51:00
One thing Moyes did right was he had a smaller tighter squad with excellent team spirit, it seem that as we all wished for greater spending power we didn't allow for reckless and under researched pre purchase policies. Even with so called chief scout or DoF we have failed miserably.
The downside now is trimming the squad, players we have paid over the odds for or who have grossly underperformed are having to be loaned as no one is willing to pay the price we are asking for!
Is it a case of be careful what you wish for and of course are the right people making the decisions?
Of this years crop Digne is looking good Gomes has talent as does Richarlison, however Mina seems to be taking time to adapt.
In a season we had so many high hopes for it again is at this point an abject farce and it feels like we are going nowhere and have no answer to our misfiring tactics!
No doubt we will need to be patient and see what happens in the window, but if we have to sell before we buy I won't hold my breath and wait!

1.) 22 Jan 2019 16:42:49
This season was always going to be for remodeling and bedding players into the new style/ tactics. It will take a few windows to trim the squad and fill it with players who are suited to Silvas style.

We are still in touching distance of 7th and in no fear of relegation
so let's just see where we end up and what the summer brings.

09 Aug 2018 22:14:12
On top of the fantastic business we have done we have Lookman and Dowell to integrate and learn from the quality around them exciting times to be a blue!

{Ed025's Note - i would say so wakka..

1.) 09 Aug 2018 22:23:21
Like you I’ve seen it all before ed025 last season was never right for me but this year feels like it has been a plan and the signings were selected to fit not just desperately bought to placate the fans!

{Ed025's Note - time will tell of course wakka but i have a good feeling about the recruitment this time mate..

2.) 09 Aug 2018 23:04:33
So have I, seems to have a plan whereas last year was just badly thought through.
Well done Brants for his work today it takes a lot of planning to pull of a final day like this. Walsh could not have done it that's for sure.

3.) 10 Aug 2018 01:58:34
Yeah mate there definitely seems to have been a plan this time, seems like we've got a well balanced squad. There's no guarantee all the new signings will be suited to the prem, but I've got a feeling they will. Got to take my hat off to Farhad, Brands, Silva and everyone else involved in the best transfer window we've ever had.

4.) 10 Aug 2018 07:39:56
As well as the previous planning and assumptions made by Brands and Silva, I believe the pre-season games gave Silva (his advisors and coaches) in particular a heads up on the true weaknesses in the Squad, hence the immense effort in the final hours of the window. All I can say about that is, thankyou Mr Brands and Mr Silva.

09 Aug 2018 22:06:43
Everton sign 3 players from Barcelona ok not all regular but given their overall strength you've got to say wow never saw that coming! Let's not get carried away yet but feeling good for this season!

1.) 09 Aug 2018 22:30:16
Can we say that Barcelona is our feeder club 😆😆😆.

24 Jul 2018 10:57:13
With us starting to move on players first now seemingly having a plan on who and what type of player we need in, coupled with what may sound daft to some, but a proper looking kit this season, I am not getting ahead of myself but have a quiet confidence compared to last season!

1.) 24 Jul 2018 16:47:59
Completely agree in regards to the kit mate. Last season it was 20 out of 20 due to those sweat patches. In amongst a disaster of a season it just sucked to not even look nice while letting the loose man in on goal. Haha 😅.

To many fans expect instantaneous positive results, it takes time to bring in and replace players.
Installing new ideas and styles of play it takes time so no one is happy with results it may take another window to change another couple but patience is key at this time!

To early to knee jerk for gods sake!
Silva will not be sacked at this point in the season, in fact probably not until it seems all is lost!
The board have chased this man so they are not going to give up early.
None of us are happy but we have to stick by him and the team through this bad patch.

{Ed002's Note - It was the owner who took advice to identify Silva as The Nifty One.}

Agree with DaveW Zouma has been solid this season and we need to secure his services and hope a good pre season should get Mina fully fit and ready to add to the defence.
Holgate is just not good enough he lacks strength and gets caught to often ball watching, he has had games but he’s not there for me. Tom Davies looked so promising a year or so ago but has become nothing more than a squad player.
It worries me we are linked to the likes of Rondon or Mitrovic as the main striker both bang average and I’m sure if he played every week Tosun would score more.
Early days and trusting the new set up so it’s a case of lip biting and being patient as always! COYB.

From everything I hear he will be in the u20 World Cup but is seen as a development player as opposed to a player ready to step into the first team.
Apparently tall lad that has good skill and distribution quality.
So I would not get to excited if you are expecting a first team addition.

One constant we start slowly get put under pressure and the nerves set it, it quietens the crowd and the opposition push on!
Every single game! Where is the motivation in the team from the start? This is down to the manager and senior pros! Younger players look so nervous.

Don’t you think it a little early to start destroying the new signings?
Keane has had little game time, what Iwobi brings is an ability to run at defenders he is also a physical presence and will score goals. Richarlison was unlucky to be taken off he was not having a good game against Wolves but shows what he is capable of when given time
Siggy had produced little at that point in the game he is a scorer of great goals but not the hub we require to link midfield and attack, sometimes I believe Bernard is a better fit in that role.
Bournemouth were bang average but players like Josh King gave our defenders so much of a problem they had 2 up front that kept our defence pinned back.
The defending was poor to say the least and yet again we are punished for zonal marking, kean and Mina are habitual ball watchers and will cost us dearly this year.
Finally what I still find perplexing is the managers rigid tactic to stick with the same formation even when we are chasing the game!
Early days this season we need to stay patient!

To many chances missed Ed025 1 goal in three games must be addressed we lost to a poor side that I don’t believe thought they would beat us but to many players off form this early in the season is worrying.

{Ed025's Note - villa are a poor side wakka your right, unfortunately we were worse than them tonight mate..

Manager at fault persistent playing of DCL also to many poor performances tonight siggy Gomes richarlison snidest to name the most obvious we played a poor villa that will battle relegation and looked lacking in quality we are no where near top six when you can only score one goal in three games!

We were the dominant side but as much as you want to ease new players in, DCL does not score enough or any goals, so why not start Keane? Schneiderlin is going but a sending off today won’t help my be him tonight n .

I’m not sure panic is the word but our form this year says we will be heading in one direction and that’s downwards the saving grace is there are four or mote teamsworse than us.
I still fail to understand what the board saw in Silva to give him this job, he is Martinez reincarnate and his CV wouldn’t be the most inspirational read!
However we play the blame game as usual it is the supporters that feel the pain!
