I don't know if any of the eds have knowledge of this since the sad passing of Ed02 but what is the story with Graham Potter. I know things didn't go to plan at Chelsea but he had a nearly impossible job in the time he was there trying to integrate all the players they bought. His record at Brighton and in Denmark was really good and I'm wondering why he hasn't got another job. Is there something clubs don't like about him or is he holding out for a certain type of job to get his career back on track.

{Ed025's Note - apparently he has had offers from various clubs ST but he is waiting for the right opportunity, now whether thats us or not is anyones guess mate, i really like him myself but my track record with previous managers makes me a very poor selection candidate im afraid....i wanted Dyche ffs.. :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Shame on you ed lol.

{Ed025's Note - im putting a bell around my neck as we speak Nick.. :)

27 Nov 2024 20:57:51
Thanks Ed, would be my choice too, at least his teams are trying to win instead of trying not to lose.

{Ed025's Note - and they try to play good football ST..

27 Nov 2024 21:01:19
Yeah Ed, I wouldn’t put that to print ?.

{Ed025's Note - sometimes you just have to hold your hands up Ace. Honesty is always the best policy mate.. ?

27 Nov 2024 21:24:10
I wanted dyche at time aswell should only ever been short term contract.

{Ed025's Note - like a week Bretto.. ?

27 Nov 2024 23:55:09
A short term in gaol would be good. Keep him away from the club ?.

I think a lot of us jumped on the Dyche bandwagon, we needed someone to come in and keep us up. He did that so I'll always be thankful for that.

I wouldn't change him until the summer. We won't go down so maybe just need to put up with rubbish football until May.

New owners are getting the background in order and once it's official things will move rapidly. Lots of players out (thankfully) and better quality coming in.

UTFT NSNO.

It wasn't a bad appointment at the time but his time is now up. He shouldn't be the man to lead us into our next chapter in our brand new stadium. BMD doesn't deserve the negative football that he tends to serve up.
I don't agree with the view that we will definitely stay up, I think our position is far more perilous than some seem to think. Forgot how boring and tiresome the football is for a minute, as if that wasn't enough. The fact that we haven't scored a goal throughout November is shocking and should set off alarm bells. We have tough fixtures on the horizon, I don't expect him to survive much longer.

Agree with BP. I can't name one team that I would feel confident in picking up points from.

Everyone is certainly entitled to their opinion, so I am not digging anyone out but I don't understand why some feel it is better to keep him until the season ends and then get someone new in. I would much prefer a new set of hands to come in now and have time to assess the squad in actual games, as opposed to training and pre-season games in the summer.

Who should stay and who should go.
What and who it needs to improve and move forward.
What style of play is it actually capable of implementing.

That would give us a much better chance of starting the new season and life in the new stadium well imo, rather than starting it with a whole host of unknowns.

Like most people on this site, I would like to see Dyche leave the club ASAP. I do have concerns however, that we don't have the quality of player to play a better brand of football. I may be wrong as they have not yet had a chance to play this way. However, quality attacking fullbacks and ball playing midfielders I don't believe we have.

28 Nov 2024 10:19:49
Totally agree TBT. Been my concern for quite a while the squad we have and the ability to play a more expansive style under a new manager.

That being said, can't carry on with Dyche, not only is the football dire he isn't putting himself across well to put it merely.

Only saving grace is worse case scenario it ends comes summer.

28 Nov 2024 14:33:26
I like to think that not all players are bad under all managers. Most I think can be shaken, dusted down and improved. Well I hope ?.

28 Nov 2024 08:58:25
Good stuff BP, definitive mate. . .

Ed I was as guilty as you re SD mate but what the heck we are only human ?.

{Ed025's Note - well i am until a Saturday GD, thats when i turn into this constantly swearing frustrated football hating maniac mate, well for a couple of hours anyway, then i calm down and take deep breaths....and its all over until we play again..

28 Nov 2024 23:32:10
Ed, I am going to take a back seat with the 'new manager' wish list for the time being as I am more than intrigued with TFG and what they have on their list, mate.

{Ed025's Note - yeah GD as the old saying goes "be careful what you wish for", we were all excited when we got our billionaire owner in Moshiri...and look how that turned out, also with managers who we hoped would lead us to the promised land mate and again it never happened, we must have ran over some black cats i think..

I don’t think anyone else would have taken the job. We were a mess. Still a mess. The run of games this time last year saved us. We’ve not had that this year and I’m starting to worry for our safety. Forest have saved themselves with form but we have no one who scores regularly in a set up that just doesn’t work for the players.

SD had his chance. It isn’t working out any more. So long and thanks for the memories.

When Dyche goes I will be deleting any memories of the bloody awful football we have been playing. File it in the same draw with the fat Sam file.
