As long as we aren’t paying him a fortune to never play. His experience and leadership are priceless but we can’t afford to have players on high wages not on the pitch. Love the guy but we’re not a charity and Seamus will know that.

He is a legend and deserves a coaching role. But a guy who couldn't complete a game last season and made 5 appearances totalling 205 minutes isn't worthy of a new contract. Hence my crappy joke. Chill out Winston.

I see both sides to this. Love the guy and lives and breaths the club. But at what point do we lose sight of the goal of winning and what playing part will he make to that?
If it’s in the dressing room then that might require a different role to a players contract. But if he’s to be a serious contender for right back then he needs to get fit sharp and prove his worth. No sentiment when you cross the white line.

Think if it wasn't for the fact we are moving to the new ground Seamus would have retired, he will want and deserves to lead us out as captain. Equally as a club we need put out our best 11 each game and unfortunately Seamus age and injuries have caught up with him, new contract as a captain and leader merited as a player no, he is one of the "oldies" after all you were so adamant needed to go, happy to re sign a 36yr old but against us signing a 29yr old Grealish GB. ?. I'm quite happy on who we sign providing it improves our squad and ultimately our first 11.

It's one side. Not a single EFC supporter has a single negative word about SC. But a new contract is baffling. No merit for it. The club would have been happy to offer him coaching position. Some people just can't see things more nuanced, it's always got be this or that it's getting a bit ridiculous with some on here so volatile. Reminds me of a social media mob of fuxtards who cause trouble and share a single cell between em.
