Can’t believe we have only signed one when every other team have signed a number of people… we are crap at it aren't we.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dear oh dear. I give up. Taking a sabbatical for a while. I know it's a banter/ rumours site but some of the things posted on here are ridiculous.

I’d rather we don’t just sign “people” wasting millions as we have done in past. Others haven’t got Tyler Dibling, KDH or Jack Grealish! I’d have loved a decent RB and a striker but I think TFG, Moyes and recruitment team have done an amazing job in one window so I don’t think we are crap anymore.
Think u have to look at whole transfer window and not just last day scramble.

Behave Ant.

Big Reg calm down, you post things that wind people up. Everyone is allowed to express how they feel.

01 Sep 2025 18:59:01
I would Reg.

I think we've had a brilliant window, disappointed we haven't signed a striker tho!

There's still time but no RB again blows my mind. We needed one for the last 6 windows and still looking for one. It feels like it's some kind of running joke at the club. I think Requelme is more likely than a RB!

Decent window but still a long way off. We are only the 12th highest spenders again in this window and we lost 10 players with no depth in defense.

We won't go down and mid table is achievable but just feel we've missed an opportunity.

He has to be on a windup.

It’s quality John, not quantity, that’s what I keep telling my wife anyway.

We have got 4 CB's, 2 LB's. Other than RB, I don't think we are that bad John.

If things get really bad (injury wise, Rohl, Garner and KDH can all play LB. Jimmy also RB.

RB aside, who could we arguably get in that would be happy to serve as a backup? We were never going to spend big on a CB because so many other positions needed sorting.

I think it has been a great window and the team looks fantastic compared to what it was last year.

It was almost impossible to expect us to sort the starting 11 and then get depth on the bench in a single window.

{Ed025's Note - spot on BN..

AndyEFC; major (8 hour) operation last year (wife and I both in our 70's) consultant was in stitches at my first words to love of my life. 'Never mind Darling we have our memories'.

Dmsblues I don’t care what people say, he is entitled to his opinion as we all are mate. But I’ve seen his posts and I think he is a bully. We might not agree on things but there are ways to word it.

Where are you guys thinking? Mid table is a realistic achievement and nothing bad about it. We didn't get a right back meaning its still a big problem area.

If we get injuries at RB or CB and with Tarks having a bad injury last year plus Jarrad also missing for games last year and again this year, we are weak at the back.

The other thing is the teams in Europe and around them from last year have strengthened as well, with most spending a lot more than us. We're looking like being 15th in the list of outlay.

We've had a good couple of games but we need to keep our feet on the ground. I can see it coming though a bad few games and people will start getting on their backs thinking we should be in Europe.

{Ed025's Note - then guys need to temper their expectations John, this is still a work in progress and will be for quite a while mate, Rome was not built in a day and neither will this Everton side, its going to take a few windows to complete this rebuild and we have to have a bit of patience, we still have the January window to come and i expect we will strengthen even more, my aspirations would be a top half finish and anything else a real bonus..

I agree Ed. It's a decent window, could have been better but still decent.

We've had a CM playing left back and can't rely on our CFs just yet. Gana is getting older and the guy looking like replacing him has a lot of injuries. There's still weakness there.

The big thing though is that we've had a squad just bouncing above the bottom 3. As you say Rome was not built in a day and neither will our return up the league but got a great chance of doing much better this year.
