After agree WBlue. Far too early write either off, but early showings don't encourage, mind you a lot of big players have been written off in first few months at clubs namely Henry, Bergkamp and Ronaldo which spring to mind and none of those turned out too shabby hey.

Some could find it embarrassing that people think everybody should be aligned on the opinion of a player.
He has plenty of footage to view from his time at the Yellow Submarine that doesn't fill some viewers with confidence.
He has played 139 minutes in the PL and been woeful. It is not even the lack of goals for me, it is his all-round play. He jogs around with no aim. He could have scored 4 goals by now but if he showed the same level of ability, I would still think the same. Equally, he could have scored 0 but shown decent signs of ability and my opinion on him as a signing would be totally different.
Big Jelavic came in from a lesser league and made an instant impact for us. It is nothing to do with how many minutes he has played or goals scored for me. It is the eye test and he is failing it.

Not seen anything to get excited about from the lad yet, more than happy to be proven wrong of course. No player that cost 35 million should have a first touch that bad, regardless of how many games he’s played.

Watched him every game mate, couldn't wouldn't jump? chickened out of tackles. 6ft odd . Oh but he brings players in to play I hear. A lot of money on potential.

Was the most predictable of fan behaviour this season. A few on here called for the mob to give the lad some slack and show some of that famed Everton fan knowledge of the game. The issue was that we didn't get a proper 9 a man, a finished all singing all dancing 29 year old seasoned goal scorer. Instead we failed to sell the donkey to the glue factory and we bought a kid, yes 22 but a kid in his position. And yawn yawn yawn "they" kill him anyway. Pathetic and predicted. We had 2 kids before who we killed and they've both developed into top tier talents. And some on here do that and yet love Beto headwobblers honestly.

Same fans writing him off already would’ve watched Fellaini and Coleman’s first games for us and called them “useless donkeys”.
Villareal fans said he was raw with a lot of potential. Moyes said he’s not ready right now but he has potential. Look, he’s raw and not ready and our fans are going “oh my god what a waste of money” yet these same fans are asking us to sign older championship players who have already failed in the league.
Thierry Henry highlighted what he’s good at and why he’s effective and our fans are going “lol what does he know about being a striker, I know better” whilst claiming DCL is class hahahaha.

He does look very very average but maybe he just needs that 1 moment in the game to nick a goal and boost his confidence. Maybe coming on as a sub and being more and more involved, where everything goes his way. But he needs to get them feet off the ground more when challenging defenders for headers. Get his frame used more, hold off defenders, and get through on goal more.
