Yes Tony would be a good signing if possible. However, if we are going to continue with this loan striker tactic then can see him failing as well. They just end up chasing shadows. So unless we play a proper ten who can get up and support the striker instead of having two holding midfielders, then nothing will change.

Beto and Barry are getting crosses to them from Ndiaye and Grealish and KDH now, it’s just they are both bloody useless and have no ball control with either head or foot whereas Toney certainly has mate.

Agree this loan striker role isn’t working. About time we looked at playing two forwards instead of one. Especially at home we’re having two holding midfielders is so bloody negative.

It would help if we had people up top that can finish those chances in comparison to our forwards right now. It would certainly take the pressure off the rest of the team.

Frustrates the s**t out of me playing two holding midfielders at home. Just go 4-4-2 and give defenders something to think about. Other than having two centre halves marking one striker.

442 was all the rage when I was younger. I'd love to see more teams go back to that but I doubt it will happen any time soon. If we played that right now, bearing in mind our two forwards, it would be like playing with 9 men, rather than the 10 men we currently start with!

When I was younger I didn't know 4 4 2, 3 5 2 or whatever. Both wings, 'get to the line put it in the middle'. Midfield 'stop that b'trd playing'. Ever found myself in front of goal 'don't f##k about'. In short you knew what your job was.
