Watching Leeds this afternoon I wanted us to sign Gnonto last season, after watching him today so glad we didn’t get him, offered nothing this afternoon not good enough for us.

It was over a year ago that we were trying to sign him and he's still at Leeds. I wouldn't judge him on the last game, especially with him coming back from injury with a fleeting cameo, but the fact that no other team has picked him up.
during that time speaks volumes. We've moved on from him as a target, he wouldn't displace JG or IN anyway.

What makes it better that we missed out on him is that we would never have gone in for the magician had he arrived. We got a player 5 times as good.

My dad is very reactionary like this too. He’ll watch a player once or once in a long time and judge their whole career on that. Still waiting for him to admit Yannick Bolasie wasn’t good and that Ekitike is a good player.
