Are we really thinking of Wilson. Come on guys. He's nearly 34, always injured and never ever been prolific.
We're a team that doesn't put balls into a striker so he would come in be injured and may nick 1-2 goals. Same as Barry/beto.
Nesri is miles the better option especially if we can get a option to buy.
For me tho we should be signing parrot, don't think he'd cost too much and he'd jump at the chance.
A RB is essential but I don't think we will even look there and probs sign a deadline day midfielder.

Parrot would be 25m minimum but more than likely 30+.
I don’t Wilson but harsh on him imo. He gets just shy of a goal a game but the problem is getting him on the pitch.

We talking about the Wilson who would be available cheap, would probably take a short term deal not on crazy money and has consistently scored goals throughout his career when fit?! The one who pounced to secure an away win for his team today? Admittedly his injury record isn't ideal but if it's low cost why not?! Might score a few important goals, be a good person for Barry to learn a bit from and also take a bit of pressure of him in the short term!

Were talking about the Wilson that scored in the Premier League today.

I thought we were building for the future.

I get the injured part but to old! 35 is nothing in this day and age.

Not for me.

Might not be for a goalie or a centre half but it is for a striker. Would be ok as a sub coming on late, but then that means you would still have to play one of the other two.

Building for the future will mean we will go for deals like this as a short term thing rather than splash millions on someone this window. The question we have to ask is is he better than the two we have up top, even if he is injury prone these days? I think the answer is yes imo.
If he came in tomorrow, I think he would stillnoutscore the other two even if he missed five or six games.
If we do sign him then it is only until the end of the season, not a long term deal.

Na no thanks Mr Wilson . we need a fit competitive goalscoring striker. not someone who is going to put more money on our raljax bill. !

Lewandowski, Ronaldo, ibramovic (AC Milan) , Sanchez (Real Betis) , James Milner. There are quite a few.
