We seem to have an order. Women's team get players, we give some contracts to the youngsters, loan some players out then the last couple of days we panic and try and find some players for the mens first team.

It does always seem slow. We’ve been desperate for weeks. Does make you wonder what the team in charge of transfers are up to. Why only enquire about players now? With Jack out now too, we have to move on a couple surely.

I've said this on here before; it's like our scouts forget they're paid year round and not just once the window opens, then panic and look at who's available on the last day.
I would think it was a money saving tactic, but teams like Brighton, Bournemouth, Brentford, Villa, even Sunderland, are constantly picking up cheap players from abroad who immediately come in and look quality, so I think our scouting set up might genuinely just be absolutely rubbish.
